The reasons why this is a wedding season is First it is b/c the season is a time for collecting agricutural products and we can get any food products and also the weather is good for ceremony there is no rain and other disturbing things... and lots of good reasons this are some and it is culture tooo. I don't think it relates to agricultural or food products but One thing you right about is the weather and culture. The main reason why people get married in this season is religion. Yes, it's the religious reason. In the Bible after Jesus' baptism, the next day there was a wedding which is Jesus turn the water into wine, and here in Ethiopia, before the long eastern fasting begins and also we celebrate Jesus' Baptism then the wedding season started just like What happens in Bible.

Ofcourse there are a lot of reasons for january to be a wedding season but religiously I think that is because we celebrate Cana of Gelila(Jesus turn water to wine in a wedding) and we celebrate it the next day after the celebration of baptism of Jesus....in Ethiopia most things are religious

Ethiopian were predominantly a country of christians and most of the time the wedding season is not during the fasting seasons. So wedding season is most of the time is month of september,january and april.
