Moved away 2 mths prior to this film. Nice to see the old place, The old music shop sold us 2 pianos, Ivor Fields was a regular stop until supasnaps arrived. braggs bike shop opposite A+H estates and Halfords out of sight. Spotted the Allegro 'equippe' @13:20, sure I remember that car, and wondered if the Reliant @6:55 was the one from Thornhill walk, near Northcourt

Very Buzzing and busy town.1974 we moved from North Berkshire so Oxfordshire and that was the decline for this once Buzy Town. It will all come back one day. I’m glad I see the 60/79:80/90 best time for Abingdon. On a Saturday you could not move for people .

Fascinating - some things like the buildings have hardly changed, but others (shop names, car designs, clothes fashions, hairstyles) are completely different.

Is that the same bry that has a KZbin channel “ The Ramblings of Bry”? I know that he grew up around that way

Yes, traffic certainly had priority over pedestrians in those days. You could wait 5 minutes trying to cross the road

Tescos absolutely decimated the heart and soul of Abingdon The town was absolutely thriving before Tesco’s came along and sucked the soul out of the town
