Abita Brewing Co. | Turbodog (English Brown Ale) | Beer Review

Hey gang! Today we try a beer from the Abita Brewing Company located in Abita Springs, LA. This is their Turbodog which is an english brown ale and comes in at 5.6% abv. The description is as follows:
Inside every dog, there’s a Turbodog® ready to break free. This brown ale has a rich, dark color and body with a sweet chocolate, toffee-like flavor. Turbodog® is powered by
pale, caramel and chocolate malts and Willamette hops for runaway good times.

Ummm, the diet candy bars are called fun size ;) Brown ales are awesome, and it makes me realize I don't drink them enough. There are so many beer styles I love and don't drink. Make it make sense!

We get a lot of Abita down here. Turbodog is one of the few that i actually like. (Their doppelbock - Andygator - is also worth the purchase, and not just for the name.) I dunno, maybe it’s the spring water that doesn’t do it for me with the majority of their lagers. Their darker ales come out better.
