Comping​ - Live organizes multiple passes of an audio or MIDI performance into
individual takes. The best parts of these takes can then be stitched together for the desired final result. Comping can also be used as a fun way to explore sound and the sound design process.
Linked Track Editing​ - Link two or more tracks to edit their content simultaneously.
Hybrid Reverb​ - Combines convolution and algorithmic reverbs, making it possible to
create any space, from accurate real-life environments to those that defy physical reality.
Spectral Resonator​ - Breaks the spectrum of an incoming audio signal into partials, then stretches, shifts and blurs the result by a frequency or a note in subtle or radical ways. The MIDI sidechain input also allows musicians to process material in key and
even play the device as if it were a polyphonic instrument.
Instrument + Audio Effect Racks can be configured to have between 1 and 16 Macros,
Macro states can be randomized with the push of a button.
Keys and Scales​ - Allow musicians to use scales directly in Live's MIDI editor as a
guide or reference by seeing which notes are in key or folding the piano roll to show only
those notes.

I've never been this pumped over a DAW update. Wanted comping for so long. I know everyone just thinks "vocals!" but guitarists needed this so bad. This actually makes experimenting with riffs and solos fun to work on.

@@Breakbeat90s But Alchemy tho... joking aside, I think that Logic has the greatest value (of inbuilt sounds, instrument and effects) for the money (I got the pro app bundle for 199, and that include Logic and Final Cut), but Ableton has the most integration with MIDI keyboard and stuff, so it's very difficult for me personaly to choose. I'll wait for the Live 11 review, maybe I'll consider to switch back.

In addition to the new features you touched on, editing multiple midi clips (and even multiple tracks of midi) in the same window is something I'm really excited about. Lots of quality of life improvements. Also, the spectral resonator is super dope.

when i started producing i would write the scale in the greyed out area before beat one and then fold the notes to the scale (so i could quickly drag chords up and down with arrow keys) then i moved to just writing in C and using the pitch midi plugin on every lane. its nice to see theres an official solution for this

Can they please, for the love of god, make it so I can send my current ableton files to my friends with previous ableton versions. Unless they switch to a subscription based platform (which I in no way hope they do) not allowing backward compatibility is just a bummer and restrictive.
