I really appreciate your beginners tutorials, would love for you to do more of them!

This is beginner?! I'm actually having trouble finding tutorials where they explain things to people who don't know much at all
@lito49002 жыл бұрын
@@anyamonyanya kindly what specifically do you not understand? Is it the daw and ui? Is it the audio fx he's using? the little bit of sound design he's doing?
@unownnnn2 жыл бұрын
@@anyamonyanya It's a bit daunting but if you just follow along using the free trial of Ableton you do learn things without having to fully understand them first. Understanding music theory helps a lot.

@@lito4900 Thanks for asking. I don't find operator on my ableton live 11. Otherwise, I see that I would be able to follow along with the settings he is choosing, but I have no idea what they mean so wouldn't know how to translate this skill to be able to use it
@lito49002 жыл бұрын
@@anyamonyanyaCan't find operator? I wonder if that has anything to do with the version (lite vs standard vs suite) of ableton you have. I assume you've probably done this but just searching 'beginner ableton guide' on youtube there is a plethora of videos more simple than this one to explain the more basic things like understanding the daw's UI so it is more easy to navigate. Reid stefan also has a bunch of tutorials on what each audio effect (eq, reverb, amp, erosion, etc) does. It is super important that you test out what you've learned immediately after you watched a tutorial on it. But yeah, if you have any specific questions just feel free to reply to me with them if you'd like. Cheers.

On the very left of ableton you see the Categories. Go to the very last one that says "all results" and type in operator. that's how I was able to find it. It's been two years so maybe you moved on but just wanted to comment in case anyone else was lost like me.

Thanks BTD! I've learned a ton from your tutorials. Has anyone ever told you you sound just like the poet David Whyte? Definitely a compliment, but I can't get over it when I watch your videos. Thanks for the content!

The scale selector is only available for ableton 11?
@PantaFlux3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s new in Live 11. Before that you could work around it with custom clip templates for each scale and then folding the notes.
