This series with Randy has been some of the most informative and applicable tutorials I've ever came across. Randy should be teaching clinics at churches and instrument retailers all across the country on how to maximize and utilize your current gear through creativity and a passion for true musicianship. Be Blessed!

love the release edit tip... I've been doing that for years now... however the reason why most factory patches are created with that certain release is so each note can have enough body to be felt in the mix when played ALONE not layered as how its used here. The best example would be an actual piano, after if strike a not the body of the piano still carries the resonance. Programmers have only been able to mimic this by using that "longer" release... for layering tho, it can get in the way tho... Do you find the action to different from the S90 to the Motif?

can someone explain to me, if i have 2 roland modules and i have a macbook and i want to use my macbook for sounds as well as the 2 modules. how would i hook everything up. he said a little something in here but it confused me. He said midi out to the module and then midi to the computer? but im really confused.. can someone break this down for me..?
@RyMuEntertainment10 жыл бұрын
As he has it, it seems as though the audio out goes to the board, then midi out goes to the comp where he stacks those sounds then that audio also goes to the board where he further mixes them… To use more than one midi gear…daisy chain them using midi out of the first device (keyboard) to midi in on the second (module1), then midi thru to the in of the 3rd (module 2) and then you take the audio outs of each module and run it to the board and mix as to taste. So you'll have the original key sound plus however many additional sounds you choose to stack.

Not sure if you figured it out yet, but I run MIDI Out to my Roland VX-5080, then run a MIDI to USB cable from the MIDI thru of my 5080 to my laptop.

They need to make an app so you can edit easier. I think there is computer software to do it though.
