James I cannot get my jams to work in ableton. the response time is awful. the delay. Is that something thats always going to be a problem with ableton? Like it will never be as responsive as just a guitar plugged into an amp?

Its called latency. Try changing your buffer

I have a boss GT1000 into a focusrite scarlett, and then I use guitar rig for more effects into Ableton and use the push 2 for all the looping and scene selection.

What effects are you using with the guitar?

It’s a mixture of the boss GT1000 and guitar rig, mostly delays and ambience reverb stuff, and a compressor within ableton, for bass I use an octaver setting, and for solos I just have some nice fuzz distortion, that’s the broad overview
