Moving over from Fl Studio/at least incorporating Ableton in my workflow and wow! It's so clean and powerful, and also I spend so much time looking up how to do something in Ableton I know how to do in 5 seconds in FL Studio lol. Different but not a bad thing, just a bit of a learning curve. This was a helpful video though, thank you!

you better make a tutorial, how to use external send effects with Ableton, which are hooked up on a hardware Mixer. doesn't works really well and i have issues with feedback. And Mono effect pedals don't work really well too. really sucks!

How come you can't route a track to more than one bus?! This is absurd and hurts my workflow. Many other daws have different more flexible routings. Does anybody know how to overcome this? return tracks are not the same as busses and I don't have the flexibility of a bus track. I know groups can be a solution but I already have groups within groups and it will make the project very messy and the main group will be the tracks I needed to route that don't relate to each other at all.

Definitely the most frustrating part of Ableton. Even in Cakewalk you can route to multiple tracks lol imagine a free daw having better routing. This and the sidechaining are Abletons biggest issues. They improved the sidechaining a bit in 11 but don't think of there's multiple sends still. Makes creating a modular environment near impossible or at best very sloppy.

my Audio To section says Midi to? and there is no way to send it to return?

Are you talking about the Arm Recording button? If so, it is right under the "S" button, or the solo button in Ableton.

I want to split the left and right channel of a group, and send it to an analog mixer. Is this possible?

I think utility might be able to split channels but if not practically any stereo processor could if you route the track to two sends and then isolate L and R.

hi. thanks for tutorial. i want to ask a question. i create a group in ableton route any audio or midi to this group but i can get any voice what is reason? For example i create drum group inside kick and snare named audio track. outside of these group i add any kick in audio track and route it to the kick audio track in group but i can't get any voice. please explain it to me

I'm not following what's happening in your situation: say I have 2 tracks, then I create a group with those 2 tracks. Automatically in Ableton Live 10.1 the output of the 2 tracks changes to the GROUP track and my GROUP track output is set to MASTER. I can listen to every track. Perhaps there is something that you moved or didn't set up correctly on your end?
