I was unaware the Auto Filter had sidechaining. That why you never rule out watching videos on topics you think you “already know.” I’ve got more to explore!

Nice explanation, but which track is the initial Compressor on? Chords, Bass, Drums, Master?
@rondesmond72094 жыл бұрын
Chords I think; the idea is that sound from the kick drum affects the compressor (e.g. the sound of the chords)
@DopamineOverload4 жыл бұрын
@@rondesmond7209 Thanks Ron! It's amazing that no one in over a year has asked this question. It's not specified in the video at all.

So the basics please:I have a kick group and a percussion group..Wich one pushes the other? Is it more right to letkick get a signal from percussion or vice versa. I always just guess and do it both ways.

to make your kick heavier by using its signal to silence down the else signal

Why does ableton always ask their staff to act like robots when making tutorials? It comes off as cold and unenjoyable to watch.
@invisibleoc4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I agree. It's refreshing to see a calm tutor with careful, clear enunciation and absolutely no time-wasting blather. Not everything benefits from Andrew Huang-style hypeman antics, it can get tiring when you're just after actual information you can use with the minimum of time wasted. Ableton's tutorials are some of my very favourite, they're clean, clear and grown-up. There's no clutter to get in the way, so you can get back to your project with the info clear in your mind. I love how calm and professional Ableton trainers are in these videos, absolutely my go-to.
