Fantastic beginner tutorial. I learned about the operator, analogue, compressor, normaliser and hybrid reverb on top of what sounds make up the song. The dark punch drums sound brilliant.

The melody pattern blew my mind. I feel like there are melody and chord patterns in house and techno that I'm missing out on. Does PML have like a midi pack of standard patterns used in house and techno that one could study?

In Ableton, how is the best practice to make a gig for 2 hours: session tracks or arrangement? In case of Ben Bhomer use to control his performance changing the level of public attention. In this example, do you suggest to use a session tracks in Ableton? Thanks for your suggest and support.
@abletontips3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely go for session view. Then use exported tracks and/or parts of tracks, time synced and loops. On top, a few midi tracks you can play and control live.

Respectfully, but it's sad how music lacks a certain emotion that is conveyed through using your hands to create music playing instruments vs a mouse and all these shortcuts... everyone's in such a hurry to put get a quick idea that becomes the track..

Hi. I've creates a full song based on your tutorial. Thank you very much! I think the result is great, and besides instruments used, I think I've come up with something original. I'd love if you took a listen and gave your opinion (it's on my channel)! Cheers PS I know that my mixing and mastering sucks, but I was just too excited to finish it asap

Well... Hate to be that guy but... It's D-dur (D major). "I'm using G wich is fourth tone in our scale so it's quite powerful when it goes to our first tone wich is D"... You are speaking about T->S->D->T relationships... well... VICE VERSA! I S->T is the weakest move in tonality! G triad is GHD where D is the weakest and very unstable tone. And that unstable tone is the first tone in your tonic triad DF#A. And you go there. That move completly blured. No definition, no expression... If you don't know some "astrophisics" better do not try to build a rocket... But who cares if nobody listens and nobody feels... At least don't tell anything, otherwise it leads to missleading and tomorrow all that "future grammy nominated" producers below (cool guys overall 100% but ignorant) will be telling that we all should go from S->T. It's possible but should be prepared (some "next level" "astrophisics" and "next level" "rocket science" is neccessary). Where else other mistakes are hidden in this "How to"? So... Content helps a lot to some "future twice nominated on grammy cool but ignorant producers" but it's no good if it's goes with mass missleading... Best regards. P.S. actually in this video there was no point to say about "fourth tone goes in first". My ears are bleeding...
