Could you envision Gazza playing full forward his entire career instead of the last four years of his career? From 1993-1996 he kicked 444 of his 1031 goals in 81 games (averaging 111 goals per season) kicking 5.2 goals per game. His first nine years at Geelong, he kicked 586 goals in 161 games averaging 3.6 goals per game alternating between the half forward flank and wing position.

Technically the first goal is 1000 because they found a goal from 1982 that wasn't properly credited to him. They all ran on for 1001, poor buggers.
