4:41 - the man standing to the right behind Walcott with his hands on his waist is trainer Dan Florio. I recognize him because he worked in my Father's corner. I would see him at my Father's training camp in upstate New York when my siblings and I would visit my Dad

Nowadays the players get ridiculously high salaries but no one comes anywhere near the playing level of Wayne Carey. Dont watch afl much anymore, its changed for the worst.

How the hell the AFL let State of Origin disappear is beyond me .... Ridiculous decision ... NRL kills it every year with their games , So much so they even play one in Victoria.. AFL has lost it's way for sure ....
@AlecJohn-c5o12 күн бұрын
Rugby League has two States pitted against each other. AFL has the 3 Big States which makes it hard to work out who plays who and when. Throw in the fact that Tassie considers itself an AFL state and then you've got more people vying for a right to play off. The other thing is the injury factor. No AFL club wants to risk it's elite footballers now that Football is big business. My personal opinion is that it could work but only if there was some massive sponsorship deal to reward those Clubs whose players qualify for selection. It looks to me that we'll never see it again. A shame since Aussie Rules doesn't' have an Elite level to step up to. Club level is all that there is so we don't ever see the best of the best.

Saw Carey play many times as a nth supporter. No one comes close to his talent great captain and leader as well. For those throwing stones look in your own back yard we’re not perfect and I don’t condone what he did. Was a dogs act to dick your best mate, somethings you cant forgive. I’m sure he regrets what he did and has tried to make amends. We’re only human.

Had the displeasure to meet this guy in the Qantas lounge once, I had no idea who he was & that infuriated him, don't know why, he plays AFL which is a tiny sport not known outside of a few states in one small country. Anyway he was an arrogant big head who thought he was gods gift to women. I just saw him as a balding nobody.

Marciano did everything right, he did not have a bum of the month campaign as champ he fought the highest ranked available contender, of the 5 opponents who went the distance with him I believe 4 were ko'd in rematch lastarza went 🔟 rounds but couldn't go 11 ,Lowry went 10 but couldn't prove he could go 11 , Louis was past his prime VS Marciano, but 8 years younger than foreman, when George ko'd Moorer, why didn't the big brown bomber, punch out smaller Marciano, Louis was the odds makers favorite Charles was near prime VS Marciano, as he was the most active heavyweight champion in history when he lost a close fight, he should've got a rematch, if Valdez beats him twice, instead of losing twice to Moore, Valdez gets a title fight, the ray arcel story is an embarrassment to boxing, if a trainer knows his fighter has an affliction he shouldn't let him fight, Charles could retire and train Patterson or liston, Walcott and Moore are both exceptions to the rule, they were better in their 30's than their 20's, where were they 10 years prior to Marciano for a title fight, Walcott lost his first fights with Bivins, maxim and Elmer ray but won the rematch rematch also with Charles, if Walcott was too old to defend against Marciano, why didn't he have a tiebreaker with Charles, or a third fight to show he could beat Louis, a rematch with Layne, or retire like Tunney, Archie Moore was ko'd by Charles in 1948 ,Moore later twice beat Valdez, and ko'd big Bob Baker as for lastarza's 37 -0. 20 years later Duane Bobick went 38-0 against journeymen was than ko'd by Norton, the one error Marciano made was a plane ride in 1969. Your not supposed to finish your career, blind, crippled, and crazy
