As marvelous as this watch movement is, I still find it even more unfathomable how humans were able to develop the circuitry and programming running today's computers, smart phones, and whatever program was used to make this video. A machine like this has physical parts working within basic physical boundaries and laws... I have absolutely no idea how computer circuitry does all the amazing things it does today. Yet which piece of technology costs more? Then, which practically runs our world today? The human world is a wondrous place.

Fine watchmaking is an art. You can't compare it to computers...

which is precisely why i love watches, even if i can't afford these sorts. sort of stuck with orient, seiko, etc :(

Hunor Kovács ...Excuse me, but most (if not all) movies and songs are made using computers. Also, good computer programming is an art.
@taysongnian10 жыл бұрын
ve2zzz Programming isn't visual art most can enjoy just by looking it at. A non programming person can't look at source codes and go "Wow this is beautiful art. So well written.". Where as a watch can be enjoyed by a wider group of people.

programming is the best art ever created, shit I wouldn't talk to you if it wasn't for it

damn. instead of making it into a watch, this should be a clock tower or building instead. let everyone see the amazing mechanical movements in a magnified way.

@tedzilla99 Haha. You are so right. What was I thinking. All watches are just like this one. Silly me. That 1/32 of an inch difference in the hands should be more than enough to quickly tell the difference. Good Call. I'll try to never have another critique again as that could inconvenience you.

This is an amazingly complex machine. Unfortunately, while it undoubtedly keeps time very well, it does not tell time in an immediately obvious way. As such, it is more novelty than tool, and worth more as demonstration of technology than utility.
