I have to say that I recently found your channel, and I’m enjoying every second of watching your videos! I live in Buffalo, and I’m inspired by your drive, knowledge and love for these boats. I just bought my first boat back that I had when I was 13 (64’ Thompson 15 SeaMate), 22 years later! I can’t wait to cruise her on the Niagara River again. You are brave driving around those huge ships on the St Lawrence. I often fear their currents will suck me into them. Lucky where I live there no big ships beside a 135 years old steamship. stay safe!

I was swimming the River once and was yelled at over the loudspeaker for being too close to the ship so being in a boat seems fairly safe to me :)

Lots of mahogany and perfect varnish, but no identifying them. Everyone knows Pardon Me, but what were the others? Chris Crafts, Gar Woods, Minet Shields.......what was the engine running by the drive. Way more questions than answers. Was therein 79 and there are dramatic changes for the better. Did I see a glimpse of Wild Goose....hard to tell. Nice video, but was rushed.

Rushed? That would be a “glass half empty” way of looking at it. Almost everything that happens to create these weekly videos on this channel is done by one person. The filming, editing, uploading, I could go on and on. It involves, conservatively, 40-70 hours each month. You’ll notice that there are no commercials because I can’t stand the random interruptions of the planned flow and rhythm of the videos. That means that there is no revenue from KZbin and a better viewing experience for the watcher. This bulk of this video was filmed before 10 in the morning on Friday and Saturday because I was captaining boats from 10:30- 5 elsewhere both days. It would more than double my time to properly keep track of identifying each boat, not to mention the repercussions of misidentification of one by mistake. I’m just a guy trying to convey the enjoyment of being around wooden boats, with many clients wishing I would spend those 40-70 KZbin hours each month working on their projects and letting them pay me for the time.
