A very impressive engine rebuilding shop and guys that know what there doing. Beautiful craftsmanship on the new Shepherd bottom too. Another good, solid episode. Thank you! Do you miss your shop / Speckles ?

Why the use of 5200 instead of epoxy?

I might add that I live 30 or so miles from Winterville. On the other side of Athens in Winder.

Epoxy can be used but the process is different. Epoxy bottoms are often referred to as West System bottoms. My hydroplane bottom is the West System type. When I redo my Century it will be 5200.

@@glassgoat9601… I’ve heard and read that an epoxy bottom can crack … so , I’ll be doing the 5200 bottom instead of epoxy !

@@rjwintl I have seen them cracked, but done correctly, in the proper conditions, epoxy bottoms are good. You want to use the one that is correct for your particular situation.
