Paul Elliot played a blinder of a game. I think it was after this game the fans took him to their hearts and he was superb in just about every game after that. Proper solid defender.

Brilliant, the St.Paddy's day massacre. Always wanted to see this again as me and my mate are waving the half-tricolour/half-starry plough at 8:25 and the polis appear from both directions to grab it. Loved that wee flag, but who got the last laugh!!!!!

Remember this game well. I was only a few days away from my 18th birthday and there was 2 old firm games in a week, played them the following week and won 3-0. The Celtic fans singing happy birthday to st Patrick. And of course we comfortably won 2-0. C’mon the hoops!!!

@@Flyingscotsman93 Billy, I followed Celtic everywhere and yes, Rangers were on another planet compared to the shit I seen. I remember Celtic couldn’t afford Carl muggleton and had to pay in instalments for a £250,000 player while Rangers where buying England 1st team, so my good memories are few and far between. How times change. Personally I don’t give a shit who wins the league. Hopefully one day it won’t be Celtic or Rangers. They are both push. Take care mate.

@@stephen3540 I remember it well do you remember celtic fans were so fed up they went to watch Stalybridge Celtic in the 90s not everyone but a fair number of CSCs they refused to give that board money.They used to miss out the main stand when saying attendance's a lot of celtic fans knew of this going on .They saw Celtic as a personal piggy bank and to hell with the fan's they had to stay away to force change .

@@Flyingscotsman93 I remember the exact game that was the official boycott by the fans, it was against Lillie and the attendance was 9000. Also remember going to an old firm game absolutely pished and hateley was clean through to make it 2-0 and rangers eventually won 4-2. I can’t forget because my best two friends weren’t in the the rangers end and after every game I went to my local which was a rangers pub and I got it stinking for ever. Good days, miss them, it’s just not the same.

@@stephen3540 Its a poor turnout Stephen but Rangers had a terrible turnout after Celtic whipped us 4-2 in the league decider in 1979 that was the first time the song "We only need 10 men"lol as Johny Doyle got sent off.I will get to the point bud after that parkhead debacle in midweek we played Partick thistle at the weekend the official att was 4000 i was one of them as i had my season ticket for the Copland rear section.From 1980 till 1985 at ibrox Celtic fans were allocated the west enclosure,a section of the main stand,sections of the north stand front and rear and the whole 7and a half thousand in the broomloan stand easily nearly 20 thousand Celtic fans at ibrox. Then souness came we stopped getting 17 and 18 thousand and thousands of glory hunters came out the woodwork to support Rangers i can even sày i went to Dublin to see Rangers play Bohemians of Dublin in a euro tie so when we sing follow follow i can shout i was in dublin following on (Biggest riot i have ever seen not 1 window left on the bus got stoned from dublin till we hit the north fuckin freezing 🤣
