Awesome job Robert, & the quip from Chloe to her teacher was a gem. When I lived in Phoenix, a family with a precocious 3 yr old lived next door. I play guitar & write songs, myself-though at this point, I'm focused on other things. I'd sit outside & play, and this kid would come & listen. As I was leaving one day, he said wait, came back with a little piano, garish shades, & started banging out notes. He looked up grinning & said, "The Steel Speaks." Kids can nail you with a word or two.

There is nothing that says you have to listen to songs in order, but there is a series of novels, and the songs are connected to chapters of the novel. So perhaps the rumor is based around that.

once upon a time my son was 5. After school his teacher told me that he was telling strange stories and she was worried about him. "Apperently he spend the weekend walking in a forest, killing cats. After some people told him it was not nice to kill cats he went to his parents to ask them what to do. So his parents told him it was far better to kill cow and sheep to skin. Mum was quit happy with the skinning stuff, and she made nice clothes for dad with it." I told the teacher it was correct what he said, and that I was very happy with the clothes and we even sold the rest of the leather for some nice gold. after that I walked away. I didn't feel like it was my job to explain to his teacher what World Of Warcraft was.

The other half told me to check this song out because it reminded him of the childhood stories I shared with him about riding in my stepdad's sidecar, or slidecar as he liked to call it, on winding mountainous roads. It was home built with suspension and a boot in the back that he would put a bag of cement in whenever I was the passenger. When asked why he needed the cement, I learned it was balast to keep the wheel on the ground. I asked how often the wheel was off the ground, he asked me how often the ride felt smooth. My reply was that is was smooth most of the time. He then told me, with a chuckle, that that was because the wheel was off the ground most of the time.

To the Apocalypse in Daddy's Sidecar (оригинал Abney Park) I've got three wheels and a frame of rust Blue skies above, and behind us dust Half a tank of gas won't carry us far, But you're safe till apocalypse in Daddy's sidecar Got shotgun shells and twelve cans of beans, And an old stuffed doll coming 'part at her seams Your little lace dress you've worn for too far As you watch the apocalypse from Daddy's sidecar Life once had us held far too confined We've left job and school far, far behind You chew your gum as I chew my cigar, As you ride the apocalypse in Daddy's sidecar We swam the whole day in oasis pool The shades beneath the palms became our home-school We danced past bed time at a desert bazaar, Now you nod your head in Daddy's sidecar. Source: www.amalgama-lab.com/songs/a/abney_park/to_the_apocalypse_in_daddy_s_sidecar.html
