My lungs make a quick chirp at very end of deep breath but it’s intermittent. Rarely it will happen at the drs office they don’t tell me what it is but then kinda act like it’s my fault it does that and scold me “ did you know you have a wheeze, do you have a cold?” They are so accusatory so I say oh no problem here cus they make me feel like it’s a police imterigation and I’m about to get arrested for murder or something... yet I’m supposed to trust this jerk??? More than one dr reacted to me this way as if my license said Typhoid Mary or something and this was long before covid19. And other times I been in drs office and my lungs are perfectly behaved

When i inhale very deeply with my mouth like 5-10 times i get a weird sensation in my lungs, mostly in my back, like an itch.I stopped smoking a few weeks ago and when i stopped then it started.I dont have wheezing or shortness of breath, just that weird itch or sensation after a few full inhales.I have alergy to pollen and my asthma activates ONLY in spring while pollen is around, during summer and winter its nothing to worry about.I dont have asthma attacks.But this year my "asthma" was better and im better around pollen.Just asking if i should worry because thats the only thing im worried about.

Does a person with severe wheezing, shortness of breath from 12+ years from smoking in late 20’s, with 2 previous cases of severe pneumonia with in the past 7 years, have _any_ chance of surviving covid-19? Or should I just start to prepare. Truly...

Hi miss,. I don't know if those conditions will definitely impact you in any specific way. I can sense your worry. You should know, and take seriously, the fact that many people all over the world are given a life sentence from a doctor, that they will live only a certain amount of years because they have some terrible disease, and end up living way longer than the doctor would have ever guessed was possible. I truly believe that your attitude is so important in such matters. What you should do, above all other things (alongside being clean and hand washing), is to take care of your anxiety. There are many ways that you can do so. I will pray for you. God bless you.
@victoriamydlarz7394

Also, I've heard so many stories of people who quit smoking after doing so for 10 years and a year later, they don't have any problems. and even after such diagnoses like Emphysema, their lung issues were resolved. Do what you can to strengthen your lungs but just know that many people do fine after they stop smoking and at least you didn't do it for 20 years. Also, look up what happens after viral pneumonia. I don't think there are any structural changes in the body but it's worth looking into.

Victoria mydlarz Thank you, that was incredibly kind for you to take the time to write that. You’re absolutely right about having a positive outlook and attitude, and how that can always help., and also very perceptive to notice my worry.. I really am trying to stay as calm & isolated as possible during this time, but I think what’s also adding a lot of stress is my little ones that depend on me. I foster, rescue, & rehabilitate pets that are disabled &/or come from abuse, and I truly don’t even know what would happen to them if anything happened to me.. but I’m going to try to work on that anxiety. Thank you very much for your prayers, I will also pray for you & your family’s health & safety💜

Thank you DR For explaining different types of breathing problems. I do have COPD, with wheezing. No fever, rare cough and some fatigue. Went to public got: alka-seltzer plus, power max Gels. Just started yesterday, also, taking robitussin cough+chest congestion 'DM' I can't get to see any of my doctors bc they are not seeing patients. I called my local health clinic and was told to get a referral to see clinic nurse or doctor. The 'ER' dept won't see me either. This works: I said would it help if I brought my Attorney with me.? It worked. Be safe everyone. Trust in God to get us through this.

My wife is a heavy menthol smoker & she's 52. She wheezes, coughing up stuff but, the scariest sound is a very loud "Thumping Sound" on exhale while she's sleeping. She has said that I stop breathing upwards of 20sec while I sleep but I noticed she does as well. However, that loud thumping sound is scary & she will not go to a doctor. I've never heard anything like that. It sounds like if you throw a baseball at an empty plastic drum. Thump, thump thump

But what causes a small vacuum sound (like a "pfhooop" said on in breath) at the end of an inhalation? I had this sound last year when I had an infection of some kind in my lower airways. I guess there may have been some parts in the lungs that were closed but the negative pressure from the diafragma when breathing in caused it to open and thus making this weird sound.

I have had a cold for 6 weeks and feel I have developed Stridor, no fever at all but I did have trouble taking full breaths and when I took a breath it was as if there was no Oxygen in my breath so I kept yawning all the time, the doctor didn't want to see me but checked with ENT and they said send me to A & E, when I went to there they wanted to me on a Covid 19 ward but said it sounded like Stridor, they said if I came back with no cough or breathless ness after 7 days then I would go on a standard ward, my breathing is getting back to normal but my Stridor is even louder and I only cough after eating meals . . . . I may get the hospital to check it out in a few more days but what ever this is, it's hard to shake off as I feel week all the time . . . . But no high temperature . . .

Hi i feel crackling but more like phlegmy once every 2 minutes maybe. Maybe about 3 crackles. I have asthma but can breathe well with Symbicort. Also feel like I need to cough but no phlegm comes out? Can it be just stubborn phlegm?

I love how you explained why wheezing is more likely during expiration - because the smaller airways narrow (as opposed to smaller airways expanding in inspiration). It finally makes sense!

I did a chest X-ray but they said nothing is there. But I keep making this weird, loud and embarrassing noise when air forcefully comes out from my chest or king, I’m not really sure where. But it gives me this sharp pain on my chest when it happens and I do that like 30times a day🥺 the dr.s keep saying nothing is wrong with my chest. What can I do🙏

Do you have asthma? If so, your anxiety or stress could be triggering it. There are a lot of different triggers for asthma. But yes, you should get it checked out. Oh wait, you commented 2 yrs. ago. Hope you got it checked out.

What type of sound is Acid Reflux most likely to cause? Seems that i have a wheeze or a Stridor on the inhale only and its very loud, you do not need a stethoscope to hear this. I'm not asking for a diagnosis but I do want to be able to explain this to my pulmonary Dr.

Because normal lung sounds sound as you expect them too, air coming in or out. You can hear it from your self if you breath hardish
