10:20 It's such a blessing to know that you have a doctor that is actually taking care of things. My partner went to a clinic because she had been sick for 2 months with gastrological problems which in turn worsened her asthma. Her doctor shooed her because she thought she was putting the clinic in danger. Gave her antibiotics without even examining her. After some days we went to another doctor who got her history in the short time of 3 minutes ( she said that she had already seen 5 doctors prior to him because nobody could find the reason she had extreme pain and dysphagia )... He gave her psychoactive drugs for a month and told her it was all in her mind. And then we went to the hospital where they gave her 2500ml Methamizol for the pain and told her to leave.... Methamizol , because she has had a Thyroidectomy, completely messed her up sending her into pharmaceutical induced Hypothyroidism. I hope nobody goes through this. It has been a test for us and really tought us what it means to have a good doctor. Please keep doing what you are doing.

My husband is turning 40yrs old this year. Last year, he started getting dyspnoea just going up the stair at home, also his BP started getting higher and higher. He went to the cardiologist, he changed his meds and asked for a Doppler echocardiography. Then they asked for the transesophageal and we found out why he was so tired. Apparently he was born with an atrial septal defect and the right side of his heart was just tired from trying to keep up with the inflow from the left for all these years. He had a minimally invasive surgery in February and it has improved a lot. So, yes. Dyspnoea can come from anywhere

Question, is haemoptysis only when you are being blood up from the lungs? There was talk of the mouth and such being other possibilities, would this count as haemoptysis as well or as something different? And does it nessesarily have to be blood bring up via a cough or could it also be blood sitting there if they were, for some reason, not coughing? Curiosity has the better of me haha.
@DrJamesGill2 жыл бұрын
Technically haemoptysis is the coughing of blood up from the lungs, or the bronchial tree Technically not the mouth etc, but if a patient said they had “coughed up blood” I would consider this haemoptysis until proven otherwise

I was wondering if there is a risk of it returning, and what could increase that risk. I run, and I take it pretty seriously, so I'm in good shape in that regard. If I were asked if I have any current medical conditions, should I say asthma?
