The child didn't buy the toys! 😂 How many toys does a child need? Nice finish!

Clean up the toy mess would help, bad habits will continue when you move. Get the children to put their toys away for a start

Any house they move to will look exactly like the current one because they can't keep WAY TOO MANY toys picked up and put away.

The house isn't the problem, it's these borderline hoarders who give their kid way too many toys.

Agree with everyone who says clean up and, I add, stop buying! Child is, too young for all that "STUFF". They want more kids, with the PARENTS helping financially?

Get rid of all those huge toys!!! Have a small container with a few toys for the baby to play with and have extras in storage to switch out and rotate the toys
@AwanaWR3 жыл бұрын
I bet their family buys a lot of the toys. Mine did. You have to sort things by size, indoor/outdoor toys, and store some for 6 months to see if they are missed. Then donate.
@bloodliriel3 жыл бұрын
And also, sit the family down, if they want to bring a gift, please bring this or that, and please don't bring xy, because: especially the big toys are a problem. Toys that have only one function are a problem because they will need a lot of those. A few open ended ones would solve the whole real estate problem, but nooo, they have to move and go bigger.

I don't care how pretty a house is, there is no way i would want to move into a house with six bathrooms especially if I had a young child. My whole life would revolve around caring for the child and cleaning the restrooms. And it would just get worse as their family grows. More work and then when the kids are old enough, more complaining about chores. It's a pass for me.

This couple had 3 rooms before they renovated. The finished renovation was not three rooms; it was one large room with 3 functions. Why did’t they join two for a playroom/den, and leave one alone for a bedroom? They could have also turned the entire basement into an in-law suite by combining two rooms for a large studio, and then turned the third room into a large bathroom. Additionally, cheap materials just don’t last long, especially in a basement environment (finished or not). Their budget of 40k was not enough to accomplish what they wanted/needed. Bottom line: you get what you pay for.

seems like they could do nothing to their house and just hire a maid to clean up everything. They obviously have the money. $40,000 would pay for a 20 hrs week maid.
@meganseastrom54673 жыл бұрын
They can't afford more kids BUT are using this reno as a way to guilt their parents into helping financially. That is what she said. Now I understand all the toys; neither of them are mature adults and seem to have been spoiled as kids, so they believe their parents must continue to spoil them financially. Nice reno but that family have deeper issues than clutter
@neckwatch3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. They also believe that their parents should move in with them to help out with their future children which is a recipe for disaster. I have one child. I don't have any relatives that can help. Therefore I'm not going to have more children. What happens if they have more kids and something happens to their in laws?
@shelleywood41172 жыл бұрын
Although the newly renovated area looks beautiful I don’t think it will stay that way unless the parents change their clutter/hoarding habits. The child has way too many toys and the mother has too many unused clothing. There are so many people in need that could use these items. I’d never put carpeting in the playroom area because kids are notoriously sloppy. And the low ceilings would be a problem. And no bathroom? Not a good idea for the grandparents. Also the Murphy bed, when down, blocks the 2 closet doors. It does look beautiful right now though. I’d like to revisit it in 6 months.

WAY too many toys for one child! They could entertain an entire nursery school with that inventory.
@freedomofreligion3248 Жыл бұрын
Children don't NEED toys. Too many toys tells the child, "we don't think you can make a good, fun, creative inner life without US and TOYS/$." Sets up kids to have a void in their psyches. Toys are cool + fun; this many is grotesque. Uh, Mom COULD put away, w the child, one group of toys before the child goes on to another! Boy, I sure wouldn't want the TV/internet audience an intimate look into my life w family.

Children do not need this amount of toys. It says more about parents and their neediness. Move your children's playroom to the basement, not your parents, who deserve more respect.
