Regardless there is no evidence of the death penalty being an effective deterrent. However increasing the chance of being caught, employment, education, and decreasing poverty rate all have evidence of there effectiveness as a deterrent.

No matter how dire the harmful act is, punishment is no valid excuse for killing someone else! Also, the death penalty should be abolished under international law!

The death penalty remains an issue in social forums, legislative debates nowadays. People who think the death penalty should be abolished believe that using the same or worse methods is not justice but an act of revenge. Also, there is a severe risk of executing innocent people because of the error of the judicial system. However, with the increased rate of crimes, it became more dangerous to live. Hence, the practice of the death penalty will benefit society in many ways. First of all, when people are against the death penalty because innocent people will suffer, in nowadays technology era, there are plenty of methods to do proper investigations and DNA testings. Due to that, judicial systems can easily differentiate the criminal from the innocent. Besides, death punishment will serve as an effectual restraint to avoid increasing the chances of mortal crimes, as well as reassurance and safety for victims and their families.

The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest; It blesseth him that gives and him that takes: 'Tis mightiest in the mightiest: it becomes The throned monarch better than his crown; His sceptre shows the force of temporal power, The attribute to awe and majesty, Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings; But mercy is above this sceptred sway; It is enthroned in the hearts of kings, It is an attribute to God himself; And earthly power doth then show likest God's When mercy seasons justice.

NOw, can you tell me about the horrors of citizens who now live with a murderer amongst them, day in day out, because he's gotten away with his crime by virtue of your stand?

its a shame how people are so all of a sudden soft hearted and want to save murder who killed innocent people from dying at the same time they want to forget about those innocent people who had every right to live murderer should get death penalty nothing less. and trying to protect murderers is much more inhumane and immoral than wanting them to be sentenced for making society safer
