I am both so excited and such a slow reader that I have decided to start early and have just begun my first book for NN. It's called The Witch of Lime Street: Séance, Seduction, and Houdini in the Spirit World by David Jaher. It features both Houdini and Sir Artur Conan Doyle, who was a great believer in spiritualism. I am not sure which of the challenges I will match it with, but it will fit a couple of them. This is, hands down, my favorite booktube event of the year!

I need to read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, as a native Georgian who remembers its release, but I was in middle school and thus not interested. Currently reading Killers of the Flower Moon, but will be done before November. That could fit web though. Also, How Music Got Free could fit fraud or capital, as someone who traded mp3s for all sorts of favors as a teen/college student.

Recently finished Patrick Stewart's memoir MAKING IT SO; largely focused on his early childhood/teen years and much of his stage acting work (although he does talk about STAR TREK and X-MEN as expected). Such a good writer. Most keep bringing up "Dickensian" when talking about this book...........but honestly accurate; you do feel like you're back in time reading about his life.

My nonfiction for November was “The End of Alzheimer’s” by Dale E Bredesen, MD - Professor U CLA. SUBTITLT: The First Program to prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline”. An explanation of 20 years of research to come up with a protocol that addresses Alzheimer’s across multiple symptoms. Worth reading, probably more than once.

I believe I am going to pick up Mellon: An American Life for Capital. We moved far, far away from Pittsburgh & I think I need some non-fiction related to my home city. I loved Mark Kurlansky's Winterlust! I added a lot of his other books and Havana to my TBR, as well as The Emperors of the Deep. A book about sharks sounds like something I need to pass onto a friend.

I love Non-fiction so I do have TBR for nonfiction that I have been collecting. I am not at all sure what of the prompts any of these will work with, so here goes what I have; Disraeli by Andre Maurois, translated from the French by Hamish Miles; Overture of Hope by Isabel Vincent; A book I have been looking forward to, Mutual Admiration Society by Mo Moulton; The Ship Of Dreams by Gareth Russell (another book I have been looking forward to); Unruly by David Mitchell (this is about the kings and queens of England, I ordered it as soon I saw an interview with the author.) ; And last but definitely not least; The Revolutionary Samuel Adams by Stacy Schiff. I am proud only one of them is American. Though I love American History I have been reading a lot of European history lately.) Anyway, help with the prompts please.

I am going to read AMERICAN PROMETHEUS by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It is on my TBR for such a long time and after watching Oppenheimer, I really, really wanna get to it. I choose to use it as my pick for DISPLAY - since they put Oppenheimer's personal life, his character and all his flaws and mistakes on public display to destroy him and his reputation...

Oh, Midnight in the garden is one of my favorite books. I need to do a reread. I hope to be reading The Final Witness which i believe will fit all the prompts. I’ll also be reading A Home For all Seasons by Gavin Plumley. I don’t know that it will fit any of the prompts, but it’s the comfort book club selection for November and I’m looking forward to reading it. Actually Miranda did say he includes some nature writing in the book, so it may cover a prompt ❤️. I am loving your beautiful autumnal look too, Olive. Have a great week🧡🍁🧡🍂

Definitely going with the challenges! I bought 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil' a few months ago, so it's my 'fraud' book. For 'web' I'm reading 'Because Internet' by Gretchen McCullouch. 'Just my Type' by Simon Garfield is the book I'm going with for 'capital' because it's about typography. For 'display' I'm going with the interpretation of reading something that interests me, so I'm reading 'The Etymologicon' by Mark Forsyth. Those are the books that fit the prompts, but I think I might also find some more nonfiction books to listen to on 'Scribd', depending on my mood.
