I agree with your comments 100%, we take for granted our history, our flora and fauna and the knowledge of the Australian aborigines. I hope that soon the Australian people will weak up and start protecting all the above. Thank you for sharing

Good presentation and narrative about the history.

Apparently the first bread was baked here as well (QLD and NT I think); 40,000 years ago. How cool is that! And there have been cases of cultivated farming found (i.e. not just foraging and gathering, but more systematic farming). But like you say; people generally just don't know about these sites or their significance.

Yes I saw some of the terraced gardens. The thing is, there could also have been various waves of people, as suggested by the Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) art. An old timer tin miner told me of a crystal pyramid and standing stones he found on a remote Pilbara mountain range. I went searching for it, didnt find it, but yes there are many things we don't understand about this ancient land. thanks for your comment

Part of me likes the idea of keeping sites like these hidden and quiet from the tourist hordes - although tourism is controlled in a much more suitable way in Australia than some historical sites overseas which are trampled and polluted on a daily basis. BUT when the trade-off comes between increased tourism and fuel/oil industry tearing the land apart, it's a no-brainer.

Yes, already art has been destroyed due to the building of industry and questions are raised about the effects of the pollution of industry on the art.

WA has over 20,000 km of coastline. Why put industrial plants here ??

Fertilizer factory ? Nitrates are the base of explosives. Why are all these sites smashed to pieces ? The rocks are extremely hard. Would take a lot of explosives to do that sort of damage, Also the damaged is all at one time, not errosion over time.

Just watched a video of an Aboriginal fulla tourist guide of the Burrap site he was showing a younger Aboriginal fulla the importance to the Burrup peninsula site, they said there’s over a million rock art pieces. The younger guy in the intro said the rock arts are over 50,000 yrs old. The younger Aboriginal fulla asked the Older Aboriginal fulla what happens if they lose the site & the older Aboriginal said they will be punished, bc they are meant to protect it. If they can’t protect it he said they will be punished, he said they were punished in the past by the spirits. This could be seen as a direct referral to the bibles & the world’s account of “the great flood.” If they lose that site to the greedy mining corporations etc, it’s a testimony to human greed & I suppose that’s when God will punish us.
