YES, This episode we're having a good chat with Chappy. Welcome back everyone. The generator in the background killed the audio of our last chat with Chappy (last episode) so we sat down again and delved into the history of this legend. What a bloke!
We find some bush tucker with the boys in the form of Australias oldest bush candy that aboriginals having been eating for thousands of years and Dane and I find a really cool critter that we find ways to mess with on a morning bush walk.
Then I have a big camp cookup at the Landcruiser and we feed the whole family, It was such an amazing night that Ill remember forever.
Hope you all enjoy it!

😂😂If Only we were in NSW. Waters great fellas 23*, no crocs & other stingers, maybe the occasional blue bottle, but they hurt like all hell. The Bower bird, could of left him an old shiny lure ( no hooks ), mate he would be the best dressed bird in the bush. 🤣 Great chat with Chappy, passing on and preserving the ways of knowledge is so important in my eyes, for the traditions last. Love it 🙏 Cheers Stevo

When we were kids at Wandoan that is direct as the crow flies 300 km inland from Fraser Island, the spotted bower birds would steal mum's engagement ring from inside the home and decorate its bower together with scores of bleached white snail shells, silver coins, blue cloured berries, green 'walla-berries', bleached sheep vertebrae blue bottle glass etc. Its actual nest was within a few metres of the home in a sandalwood tree.

Truly my favorite channel. Each episode is like a chapter in life somewhere! Your work here reminds me of Anthony Bourdain as he loved the culture and shared the experience he was having while educating about the people as well. I only mean as a compliment- You mates do a brilliant job of setting the sights on what’s important. Letting us breathe in the truth and the heart of life. Of course the shots, music and all is amazing but what makes that better and more genuine is that you take the time. Wild reaches doesn’t reach for attention… but instead asks us to reach out and be better humans, embrace the planet, it’s people and respect each other and our earth. I can’t help but feel National Geographic / Disney will be asking for wild reaches to have a channel with them! So happy to be a fan here and wish you all the best! Cheers 🥂 thank you.
