While I agree with you overall, Colin, I think I'd tread a little easier on labeling anyone as "evil" or "wicked". Most of the people I've encountered on the "pro-choice" side are merely deceived by the the culture's rhetoric. Many, or at least some, will change their views when confronted with the truth. Does that mean they are no longer wicked or evil? There are genuinely evil and wicked people in the world who will always be so. I'd recommend leaving room for God to judge people's hearts.

Additionally, studies have proven that the pregnant mother is actually strengthened by the baby. The heart and brain function, in particular, shifts dramatically for the better. Her resistance to illness/disease are also boosted significantly. More reasons that this is not a parasitic relationship.

The fetus can provide stem cells to the mother for healing and prevent disease in the mother. This is different from parasitism which is a different form of symbiosis.

The other problem, of course, is that if your rights depend upon some milestone, then people are NOT equal. That is, we're not equally smart, aware, conscious etc., so if humanity depends upon things that vary across people, then humans are NOT equal. What sad is so many of us have been misled. When I had my abortion most of me thought I was doing the right thing there was a part of me that was basically screaming in my head at myself, which I now know was probably the Holy Spirit trying to talk me out of it. I technically did not hear screaming in my head but deep down inside my heart knew that I shouldn't go through with it but I hardened it just enough to have that awful thing be my greatest regret. I did not realize just how developed my baby was when I went through with it. When I found out years later when God blessed me with my third living child, my heart was torn to pieces.

God blessed you with children and if I were you, I would focus on gratitude. You have repented and your sins forgiven. You have been "washed clean" (1 Corinthians 6:11). Acts 26:18: one of my favorite verses. Hallelujah! I am sure God will use you to warn others. There is nobody alive who has not been spiritually deceived at some point. Everyone who hasn't got the Holy Spirit indwelling is spiritually deceived to some degree every day. I spent 40 years deceived in the RCC. After I was born again/born of the Spirit, scales were removed spiritually-speaking. It's just amazing and since I live in a predominantly RC country now (with a Muslim population too) I feel blessed and grateful all the time for God revealing truth to me and for being set free from wrong ideas, idolatry (idolizing people too), depression etc. I am even grateful for being a native English speaker because of the amount of hymns and worship songs (as well as Christian heritage, testimonies etc) available which other languages simply do not have 😢

I'd like to add that even though a baby takes from the mother. It's not in a parasitic way, it's an investment. The baby takes now, but will in return give joy. If the argument is made that the baby doesn't bring joy to some, then there's still the natural law at work that the baby allows your lineage and genetics to continue. In nature animals have a hierarchy where only the fittest, strongest animals mate, to allow the best genetics to be passed onto offspring, to ensure the species' survival. Having the Holy Spirit indwelling makes us Christian by definition (Romans 8:9, John 14:16-17).
