lets be honest, as someone who regards himself as a real Christian by the grace of God, i'd love to see him with some of the harder hitting questions that the scriptures are ABUNDANTLY clear on, but the church rejects, and twists. Things like, "slavery is perfectly good and acceptable as long as it's practiced in accordance with Gods laws".....i wonder how many so called "Christians" would agree with that? the apostles did, as did Christ, but you'll be VERY hard pressed to find a modern day church in agreement. How about Fathers literally own their daughters as property, and are their authority until their married, where they become the husbands property, and the husband then becomes their authority, and that wives are to obey their authorities, and in the case of their husband, as per the scriptures "as unto Christ"..... how many modern "Christians" are going to agree with that? even though that's what the scriptures clearly say........... in fact, there's a very strong chance that YOU sir, will try and debate the 2 points i've just made, or go with the churches twisting and changing of things they don't like, if you're what i would consider a "real" Christian to be, you should be knowledgeable of the scriptures, and should know what i've said is 100% correct.... i as a Christian, am fully in support of Gods ways, no matter whether people in 2024 find them distasteful due to the Godless societies they were brought up in, i pray you are too. I’m trying to provide this information to my wife and 20 year old step daughter. If I asked them to explain to me what the gospel is, I’m positive they wouldn’t have a clue. I love my wife and stepdaughter dearly but the fruit that they produce is totally contrary to what the Bible says the Christian should be. When God truly redeemed me in 2015, I saw exactly what you are talking about Colin. I was then 48 and had been a cultural Christian for most of my life. God brought me His gospel in the messages of Paul Washer and Todd Friel, just to name a few. When I started questioning everything my relatives had told me about Christ when I was younger, I then decided to read the Bible myself. To my astonishment, 99% of what I have been told all my life about Christianity was wrong. Thank you for what you do on this channel. It is very much needed so hopefully many false converts will come to Christ as they should. Being a Christian is the most difficult thing that we will ever do in this life. We have to know the truth of Christ’s gospel. If we don’t, we will remain in perpetual sin and we will never be changed by the work Jesus did on the cross. It’s easy to “say” that you are a Christian but it’s impossible to even try and live the Christian life without knowing that you are a wretched sinner in need of the savior Jesus. With proper study of God’s word and reading it every day, hopefully more of us “Christians” will find out how horrible we really are and we will come to depend on Jesus as we should. Many so called Christian’s believe that God is just so enamored with us. They truly have no idea that Jesus went to the cross so His Father in heaven would be glorified. Yes, Christ did it for love. But first because He loves His Father. Yes He loves us as well (John 3:16). But we need to fall on our knees before Him and thank Him daily for including us in His plan. Another mistake that I think we make as so called Christian’s…we think that it is all about us when it is not. Yes God loves us, but it is ultimately about His glory. Thanks again for what you do. And please pray for my wife and stepdaughter, and the many, many souls that truly need the biblical Jesus and not the savior that they make up in their minds. God bless!

Another mistake I think many "Christians" make is assume that when they're in heaven, they'll be "themselves" there. He that will save his life will lose it(hell) but he that will lose his life for my name's sake shall find it.

Yup. I was a lukewarm back then. I don’t remember calling another Christian out there judgmental (thank you God!) but at the same time I noticed how even if you contradicted the faith you claimed to bear, or called yourself a “spiritual not religious” Christian to suck up to the atheists and other non believers, there was still rising hostility coming your way. I held to “God is real” and they bashed me for it, even though I never openly proclaimed “I’m a Christian” (which means Christ FOLLOWER) because I knew I was living a dirty sinful life and that would be ‘soiling’ God’s name. I’ve noticed it is pointless to suck up to non believers in these end times and contradict the gospel for any reason or just because you might be afraid of everyone coming to eat you alive. I was once a liberal, but when I figured how much they hate real Christians, and even the fake ones who admit they believe in a higher power (the Christian God) , I just couldn’t bring myself to be as radical as them and realize their hypocrisies so now I feel more confident to defend my faith as a person who has been somewhat on both sides. And now all the way for the Christian faith. It is also crazy how some lukewarm people will attack real Christians and they sound EXACTLY like atheists online. The same phrases and everything! I was a lukewarm but I wasn’t that bad! It’s scary when you realize you’ve been so indoctrinated into how the world thinks and haven’t even though about what God thinks and the consequences of our sins. Second, we are not to eat anything that was sacrificed or in any way committed to a false god. If someone makes the food and says this is for the golden calf (or any other made up "god") we are not allowed to partake. Aside from that though, Christians can eat whatever we want without sinning. I think it's important to note, however, that many of the foods that were forbidden in the Old Testament are now known to be less healthy, such as pork. So even though they're no longer forbidden, it doesn't mean they're necessarily a good choice. But in moderation, none of them will do long term harm, generally speaking. 🙂🙂🙂

Most of them have no concept of what it requires to truly "take up your cross and follow Him." If we are not willing to sacrifice our personal wishes or preferences for the sake of complete obedience to the Scriptures, then we better start seriously inspecting our fruits to see if we are truly in the faith!

I asked Jesus into my heart at 21.I was putting more faith in my prayer than I was Christ crucified. Got baptized, tithed, and went to church. Really thought I was saved. Was always looking for that next rush I could get at a charismatic service. But I still loved sin. And although I read lots of books from dubious authors, they turned out to be either prosperity teachers or just plain bad theology. Every time I tried to read the bible It just put me to sleep. By the time I hit 30 I was totally bored and didn't even put up a fight with sin anymore. Then 3 years ago at the age of 59 and after years of misery with addictions, lust etc... I asked God to help me and give me his perspective. He promptly led me to the Word, and I quickly realized how lost I was. True repentance followed and today I really love the Lord and know His Holy Spirit dwells in me. Regeneration gave me a love for God and his Word and other believers that I had sorely lacked as a fake Christian. Many today are deceived and just have a form of religion but what they really need is the relationship. I consider myself very fortunate to have been given saving faith. My sin was pride and unbelief. Also, over the years when I would attempt to come back to God, it was never long before confusion would get the best of me. The natural man just does not get it. I have finally found what I was looking for.

As an older person watching this video, I am encouraged there is still a remnant in this age amongst the younger generation to which you (Colin) belong. Also, I say"THANK YOU" for heralding a call to all self-professing Christians (I mean Evangelical) to evaluate their FAITH which has fallen on hard times these days. Growing up I was taught to understand the church is for the gathering of believers who CONFESS with CONVICTION what they BELIEVE and further articulate their beliefs in a statement of FAITH (DOCTRINES) you must submit to for even membership. Not so anymore. DOCTRINES divide is the WISDOM of this ungodly self-professing "Christian" gathering who proudly declare they do not have a set of doctrines in any statement of beliefs but rather declare what they teach should you decide to attend their church services (sounds like upfront caution to me). You don't have to believe what is taught as a NECESSARY CONDITION for becoming a member. For ex. The pastor would teach on the Penal Substitutionary Atonement of Jesus Christ. But you don't have to believe this anymore even though it is a key doctrine of the church since the beginning to become a member of this seeker-sensitive church. Similarly, the God of the Bible is Triune but you can openly reject this doctrine (like in Sunday class) and still be a member of this church fellowship.

I have had my morals formed by the Bible. I have trusted my feelings alot in life and they always led me down bad roads since I have read / listened to the Bible hundreds of times in the past 10 years and have learned never trust what I'm feeling because it will always cause me to act with emotions instead of with wisdom.

My ex husband raised in a bible reading/believing Christian family. He honestly thought what he was was a Christian (basically moral person). After years and years of struggling in our marriage...never had a good day...this was the elephant in the room. He wasn't born again. Then instead of accepting Jesus he rejected everything and left the marriage. I think his shame and embarrassment of being wrong was a big part of it. Our family is still devastated even after he passed away.

It's the result of a fallen world we live in frankly. Consider the story of Job, we simply cannot know God's infinite plan of wisdom but we can trust Him, He works all things for good(Romans 8:28). The problem is God is perfect and we along with the world are not. Honestly the more we learn the more questions we have.

November 16, 2023: In recent days, because I have grown weary of "Christians" challenging me when I quote scripture, even getting angry and claiming "My God is not like that" or "My God wouldn't do that," I have begun asking some "diagnostic" questions of these people: 1. Do you read your bible everyday? 2. Have you read your bible all the way through? If so, how many times. What I have found is that the vast majority of Christians do not read their bible every day and even fewer have read their bible all the way through. In a recent poll, Pew Research found that only 32% of Christians read their bible every day. But that doesn't even speak to how MUCH they read every day and does not speak at all to the study habits of Christians, which I believe are probably almost non-existent. While these questions cannot determine whether people are actual Christians, they do serve as an indication that most "Christians" are weak, immature Christians at best, and at worst, most likely, nominal Christians. So far, nobody who has challenged me on what the bible says, has been willing to answer my questions. Nobody!

Thanks, Colin, for touching on this subject. It's true that many people think they're 'Christian' but yet cannot give an accurate Gospel, cannot tell you how they're saved. what sin really is, and better yet why they think they're going to Heaven. If you watch Ray Comfort's videos, almost every person on the street he interviews think that they're a good person and will get to Heaven since their good deeds outweigh their bad ones. Also, Jesus said that the road is wide and broad is the gate that leads to destruction, and many are on that road. That 'road' is what people believe is the road to Heaven. A sobering thought to know that the actual way to Heaven is narrow, the gate small, and few find it. There's your truth.
@1newearth2 жыл бұрын
It is a sin to steal and a sin to forget the seventh day sabbath. Stop stealing time. Narrow is the way to life. The gate right in front of heaven's city is large if you didn't know. My Lord Jesus is the end (summary) of the law to all that believe. Stop twisting the writings of apostle Paul. God commanded the sabbath to be kept in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5. The Jews in the book of Jeremiah went into Babylonian captivity for disrespecting the sabbath and disobeying the Lord. By the way, if you go to church every sunday, then you are a sundaykeeper and you respect that day instead of the sabbath saturday of my Lord Jesus. Don't be silly. He is our perfect example of what to do. He said he was the Lord of the sabbath, not the first day (sunday). He went to synagogue (church, meeting place) every sabbath as his custom was. Luke 4:16. He attended the feast of passover every year as written in Luke 2:41,42. He attended every feast of tabernacles (John 7:1-14) and I know he kept the new moons because he said so in Numbers 28. Our Lord Jesus never forgot the sabbath because he is the Lord of the sabbath. If I see any unrepentant sundaykeeper in the new earth, I will ask God how did this idolater enter this holy city. I used to be a sundaykeeper but I repented and so can you. We will keep the new moons and sabbaths in the new earth. Isaiah 66:23. There will be former sundaykeepers like me in the new earth. Repent and keep the commandments of God if you want to eat from the tree of life.

@@1newearth We are saved when we believe the Gospel! The Gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. ‘Keep the commandments’ what commandments are you speaking of?
@1newearth2 жыл бұрын
@@Adam-ed6vm False. We are saved when we believe on the Lord Jesus and keep his commandments if we love him. Let us follow what Christ Jesus our Lord and the apostles did. Romans 1:2 says that we are called to be saints. Do you love the good Lord Jesus enough to keep his holy days, new moons and sabbaths? Unrepentant sinners and the heathen will be cast into hellfire. There will be at least 2 liars, 2 murderers, 2 whoremongers, 2 idolaters, etc in hellfire. Do you love God enough to stop eating bacon and shrimps? I am less sinful than most people because I obey the commandments of God by his grace. We must keep his laws to eat from the tree of life. Revelation 22:14 KJB. God only saved 3 souls from Sodom and Gomorrah. Thousands perished. Rahab was a harlot and a Canaanitess but she repented. Cyrus the Persian was anointed by God but he was not an Israelite. God made a covenant with the Israelites (not Jews). There were always strangers (foreigners) among the Israelites. Abraham was an Hebrew, not a Jew. We are living at the time of the end. The Roman kingdom church has reigned for about 2,000 years and it is the iron kingdom. The stone kingdom is coming to destroy it and all other kingdoms. The last time I checked: Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and the US are part of NATO, the North Atlantic Alliance. The pope, Italy and his allies are collectively the king of the north. The king of the south was defeated and colonized in the 1800s. Tidings out of the east (China and allies) and the north (Russia and allies) shall trouble the king of the north (the pope, Italy and allies). Repent and stop teaching lies. The Lord Jesus Christ is bringing his kingdom to this earth and the world will know when he shall return.

Thanks again young man for another serious topic...My 2 cents on this topic is this:We expect good fruit from a bad tree.let me draw your attention to the way people get saved these days and compare it with Scripture, scripture teachers that one must be born again by water and the Spirit to be able to see and eventually to enter the kingdom of God.In our generation the born again process is not by the Spirit of God but by man's will.Lets call it "Decisional regenaration" the sinner decides for Jesus or gives his heart to Jesus , or asks Jesus into his heart ,and that act is excepted as the born again experience, so the starting point is already wrong, if you start wrong your whole Christian walk will be wrong and unbiblical.The outcome will be goats that talk, walk like sheep but are still goats , and here we are expecting fruit from bad trees.
@JohanDee2 жыл бұрын
You said it just right! The person repents, totally decides to follow Christ our Lord, is baptised by going under water, is laid on hands to receive the Holy Spirit and is born again. And as a newborn, needs feeding=teaching through Bible study, sermons, discussions with brethren, but mostly through the working of the Holy Spirit.
