He was so unfortunate. As talented of a midfielder as we have had since the invincibles. Could have been the player we have been missing since vieira. Add wilshere, cazorla and rosicky and we had a potentially world class midfield that unfortunately were too injury prone.

I think he was better offensively than PV but not as good defensively. It was and is a great shame about his injuries. AFC have had a long list of players with enormous potential that were prevented from showing it due to injury. The PL wanted to increase the technical skills of players but failed to penalise the thugs that prevented such skills, and we were one of the teams that suffered the most because of that PL organisation failure.
