I think I've had Crohn's since I was very young. Got diagnosed in 2002 and have been living with it since. You've got my full support and empathy mate. It's one of those invisible diseases that people don't really understand. Put it this way, if something requires no food or hardly any liquids for three days to rebalance itself, then it's bad news in my experience. Hope there's no more flare ups and that your B12 levels are OK.

In a world where there is an increasing number of paid subscription plans, questionable webinars, and courses on the brink of charlatanism, old-school genuine valuable open knowledge and engagement with community hold immense value from a human perspective. Generosity, sincerity, openness, and a unique personal yet professional perspective. I appreciate you for this, Dan. Get well, take your rest and spend time with your family. 100k subs are almost there, and you absolutely deserve the next 500k soon. Good luck.

Ouch poor Dan, all the best. Ive had ulcerative colitis since 19 (Ileostomy/colostomy ages 21) now 58 and late last year had the Whipple op for Pancreatic Cancer so I understand what its like not to digest your food properly. I have lost over 3 stones in the last 9 months and failing to put any one in fact still loosing couple pounds a month !! SO much so I am now on that many tablets when eating I should rattle like a babies toy !! Crohns is far worse than anything I ever had, which is way beyond bad enough for most people still alive, but stay strong, your still breathing. Looking forward to the run through of your new rig, I did mine earlier this year knowing I had survived the latest health scare, I went mid range but still finding it impossible to push hard, saying that my old one FX8350 never really broke a sweat either, but it was over 10 years old !!

I struggle with fatigue and brain-fog from long-COVID. It likely isn't anywhere the same as what you deal with, but I absolutely empathize with how those symptoms can sidetrack us and pull us from our work and our hobbies. If by some chance you see this, I think I speak for all of us when I say that your health comes first. You put out so much incredible content both extremely helpful and insightful for free, and I'm sure many others like myself have benefited hugely from your immense wealth of knowledge & experience. I don't think anyone could begrudge you not being able to keep up due to health reasons. I myself struggle hugely with insomnia, among other things, & I'm very familiar with the "brain fog". Sometimes it can be weeks at a time that I simply can't function because I can hardly string a coherent thought together. Being unwell is never fun at the best of times, & can be very frustrating when it gets in the way of being able to go about your regular business. Wishing you the very best & a speedy recovery. ❤

Hey Dan, Crohn's disease patient here: Not sure how much you know about it and how much your doctors tell you, but there are ways to improve things. I started my journey with fermentation to feed my body with good gut bacteria to improve the gut lining and overall performance of the gut. Maybe you can get started with this as well. I had a relapse about two years ago and was even treated with antibiotics at one point, which led to a very slow recovery. Fermented food really supported my recovery as well as getting away from chilies and other hot / irritating food, so that today I'm not having those bad issues I had about a year ago. Additionally, you could try Golden Milk to reduce the inflammation. I hope that you get back on track soon with those tips. 🙂

You are a wonderful man. And as such, wonderful man, you deserve a little break :-). I mean to write and say thank you and I don’t. I’m just some old man who used to be in the music business. You are a disembodied voice that I listen to very often, enjoy, immensely, and learn so much from, or try to… My point is, you are very important to me, and I need you to stick around and get better, OK? Along time ago I wrote a song called wait for the magic. It is the one song I have written, and published. Al Jarreau recorded it and it was nominated for a Grammy. Amazing good things happen all the time, and I wouldn’t be surprised if all this gets better very very quickly. My best to you, sir. Love, Todd
