I have great difficulty with negative emotions about this. My rage comes from some kind of short-circuited compassion. I know I need to focus on the people victimized by American culture and help them, but my instinct is to fight the injustice. And America is nothing but that. I had to experience the worst of Helene. I don't even want to come back to this planet next time.

Hi friend, we certainly need to fight injustice in order to deal with the temporary or near term suffering of sentient beings but ultimately to make the lasting change in the world we have to have a long-term vision and so we must never ignore the truth of causality and value virtue such as honesty and integrity. The mistake many people make is they think in order to deal with short-term suffering than it is OK to engage in negativity for example to be liberal with the truth but in the end this corrupt our culture and causes more suffering in the future than it all alleviate in the present moment. Hope this helps. All the best. 🙏🙏🙏

@@ultimatemeaning Thank you. I absolutely know now that is not helping me in any way. I think I need to retire some of these social media accounts and create new ones that only connect to channels relating to Buddhism, philosophy, etc. Harsh speech is a really bad one.

Something I’m working on right now is a KZbin channel of my own. I wish to help people see the truth and the causality of this world, the hard part is putting in terms of the west, making it interesting and avoiding the 8 mundane habits. Being liberal with the truth is all too easy. With all I’ve seen growing up here, Americans really seem to struggle with discerning the truth from the capitalist conditioning which has pervaded our institutions and our culture. We’ve lost sight of what is actually meaningful to us, and our democratic republic is failing to deliver us leaders who can speak truth to power and be popular. I seek a path that can debase power concentration in the two party system, and I think organizing around ranked choice voting is a great way to start. Let the peoples real problems be heard, not the wealthy donors the dems and republicans are forced to surround themselves with. A piece of wisdom that helps me stay true to myself as it is so easy to get lost in all the noise “careful to call a flimsy world a wicked scheme.”

1. American culture is neither European nor American. It's Semitic which is very easy to lookup if you bother to check who owns and runs the media. 2. Everything that you and the Buddhist charlatan have said are mindless repetitions of US media talking points that shape your ironically Abrahamic worldview. 3. You seem completely clueless about the outside world. I recommend China and India. Be sure to checkout Africa too south of the Sahara. 4. If it's so bad why do you stay in the evil decadent west as the mentally unstable Satanist Alexander Dugin calls it? 5. His daughter got what she deserved from that C4 underneath her car.

Thank you for this message. Many Native cultures had a profound way of life that aligns very much with Buddhist ideals, surely there is great collective karma to pay for stealing and destroying the land. There has been no shortage of warnings from all around, including science; but materialist addictions allow people to justify anything at all. Compassion and virtue demand the protection of life, but meditation is useful for calming the mind and focusing, strengthening the brain via neuroplasticity; so that later the solutions become easier to see or share with others. It is important to have a community that can demonstrate self control to the addicts, so that they do not simply think they are "normal" or that "normal" is "good"

May I become at all times, both now and forever A protector of those without protection A guide for those who have lost their way A ship for those with oceans to cross A bridge for those with rivers to cross A sanctuary for those in danger A lamp for those without light A place of refuge for those who lack shelter And a servant to all in need For as long as space endures, And for as long as living beings remain, Until then may I, too, abide To dispel the misery of the world. Hey, I just wanted to thank you for mentioning the floods in Spain, I live in one of the affected areas (the most that happened to me is that the wifi went out as I was downloading something, don't worry, I thankfully live somewhere with very good drainage thanks to the geography). Nobody outside of the country was talking about it. Even here it took a while for the media to address it. I also see you read and respond to the comments, which you have done for me in the past and I appreciate. So I wanted to ask something if I may: I attended the relief efforts and the protests afterwards, which I think relates to the topic at hand. It was extremely heartwarming how hundreds or thousands of people (I still don't know the exact number) came together to help the people most affected just for the sake of it, and I don't think anyone would find that remotely impeachable. However, though I did and do support the protests too, which mainly centered around demanding the ousting of the "governor" (not the actual title but roughly equivalent) for his complete lack of response to the intense flooding that caused on the ballpark of 200 dead, plus many more missing who are likely to not have survived either, that is a topic I think might be more interesting to analise. There was also some violence (initiated by the police, I must add) during the protest, which might be relevant. So, all this to ask: How do you believe this fits with the topic at hand (shared karma)? Particularly protesting an injustice and whether or when it counts as lashing out and trying to solve hatred with hatred, as an act of love by wanting to reduce the suffering of others through collective action, both, case-dependant, or a *secret fifth option*. In my case, as I have stated, I do support the protests and though some people were in fact understandably angry and lashing out, and others were there with agendas and intentions separate and more nefarious than the majority (I am speaking of the small number of neo-nazis that tried to use the protest for their own goals before being thankfully kicked out soon enough) from what I gathered talking to the others that attended I believe wholeheartedly most people there were genuinely trying to bring justice to avoid this much suffering were a similar event to happen in the future, which unfortunately is likely. Finally, I will just add that I have been watching for a while (since the non-dual troll video) and quite enjoy your videos. They have made me realise that Buddhism had a lot more merit than I was giving it beforehand. I should have given it said merit in retrospect, but better late than never. Anyway, I sincerely hope you're having a great day ^^

We can’t effectively or honestly discuss the climate crisis without addressing geo-engineering and weather modification programs by governments and militaries worldwide. That said, all this madness is most definitely our shared karma…but it’s worse than you may think…at least that’s what it looks like from my vantage point and I’ve been here a minute…lol Love most certainly overcomes hatred, as wisdom overcomes ignorance 😘 And the Lama is absolutely correct; taming our own mind is one of the best and ultimately most effective easy to eliminate suffering in ourselves and in others; it happens due to the law of interdependence 🙏

Impossible to prove motive on something like that and this is far beyond a left/right issue sir. However it is interesting that the largest lithium deposits in North America are in fact at the epicenter of the destruction in NC in Black Mountain…so theirs that circumstantial fact. Thank you for the response Lama.

@@ultimatemeaningmy friend is a pilot. I made a video where he told me about a weather engineering job he was offered. It's on my channel. The gist is this: Load a plane with silver oxide. Fly it into clouds. Release the silver oxide. The moisture condenses and falls. He was offered the job in New Mexico, I forget who the employer was, it may be federal, state or private. But I never realized it was "real" before then. Always some crazy conspiracy theory. I'll ask him I'll make a short video :)

My friend told me about this. He is a pilot, got a job offer in New Mexico. Load a plane with silver oxide, aluminum oxide, I think 🤔. Fly it into moist air. Moisture condenses and falls. I know the best documentation of it was in Vietnam during the war. As far as steering hurricanes go, I've got ALOT to learn. But I dismissed the chemtrail thing and thought people were nuts. Until a pilot told me how he got offered a job. Quite humbling.

creating fronts and steering them requires an antenna array. You add energy to the air, and the molecules dilate. All weather is: low pressure, high pressure. And if you COULD make either, you can steer stuff. It's simple, but intimidating at first. like most things

I still have to stay on purpose and despite my objections, accept that some people see it as a good thing. Either way, it is impermanent. Avarice seems to be the thing these days. People are acting like locusts. Everything is supposed to make you feel good. Capitalism and socialism have formed this symbiotic relationship to keep the peace and consume the planet.

It is natural for people to lash out at others when they themselves are suffering. In general there are two types of individuals those who win faced with challenges and hardships think of others in a similar position and try to help and a positive way and those who become increasingly self concerned and lose all of their compassion for others. The altruists are in the minority, hence the current state of our world♥♥♥

I am a believer that we focus too much on things that are practically outside of our control. Example being Americans (which I am) focusing so much on federal elections instead of local ones. Most people I have met don't even know their local council member. I think in times like these, we need to focus on transforming the suffering that is within reach, that is tangible. If we all do this, our bonds will be much harder to break as people will see their lives transform around them. Example: my partner goes running every day and noticed that a street by the local elementary school is very dangerous as it lacks a crosswalk. Children are often seen running across the street while cars swing across traffic and into the road. It is an accident waiting to happen. Well, she pestered our city council member enough that eventually it was brought before the city and they added a small crosswalk there. Now the children can cross the street with a little more peace of mind. Think about how this small change she made could have saved a life and stopped so much possible suffering. This is the change we should be focusing on now, I think. Something within reach. Always be mindful of the three poisons (hatred, aversion, and ignorance) and learn to transform them into loving-kindness, acceptance, and wisdom.
@ultimatemeaning
@ultimatemeaning Ай бұрын
This is a very good point friend, but sadly most people are politically disengaged for example one survey showed that the majority of Americans though the country was in a recession. One warning here is that societies that become politically disengaged trend towards autocracies (Russia being the prime example).
@EmptyWasabi
@EmptyWasabi Ай бұрын
@@ultimatemeaningI agree with you, Lama Choga. As someone who is very politically engaged, it’s baffling to see the decisions people make. Unfortunately, this ignorance is very deeply ingrained in my country. It’s not an easy knot to untie. In fact, it’s happening all over the western world right now. Western Europe is becoming more authoritarian as well. There is a strong lack of class consciousness in America, and the growing wealth divide is causing a growing populist movement. The owner class stands behind the populist right because they do not challenge capital like the left does. The populist right instead attacks the other. “Immigrants and Marxists want to destroy your country”so they say. There is no populist left alternative for people other than Bernie Sanders, but we saw how the DNC treated him years ago. We are now living with those mistakes. The Democratic party was the better option in this election, but they are becoming out of touch with what people want to hear. They didn’t get people excited to vote like the right did. Even thought the economy is doing good and has recovered from the pandemic, it’s not how people feel. Perception is reality because people are delusional. It’s a mess, really. To me, it is an issue of capital, ignorance, and greed, but it is a very lengthy topic that is bit off topic for a Buddhist channel, I think.
