I have Xbox One & Nintendo Switch, and currently saving up for Steam Deck. Handheld is just so much better. I didn't ever think that console / PC games could be played on a handheld console when I was a kid, but it's so awesome. I agree that it's hard to be a minimalist & gamer at the same time because you typically have to purchase a game to be able to play it, and then your collection just grows. Hypothetically, someone could just use Xbox game pass and not own any games, but there is a lot that isn't on there. Not sure what the solution to this is.

Indeed, the technology has came a long way, we can play PS3/PS4 level of games in a device that fits in the palm in our pockets, it is indeed a childhood dream. In terms of being a minimalist and person who is on the go, being a digital nomad many months of the year, the Nintendo Switch is a very good fit, you can buy games digitally or get the physical copies. I usually leave the hardcases behind and just carry the gamecards with me, inside the Switch case. I have a TomToc case which is very slim. I had Xbox and Game Pass as well, but I personally prefer physical game ownership. When you have a pass of 100 games, you can become paralysed by the plethora of options. With the Switch, I like that I consciously decided to buy a game and finish it, before buying the next. Also, I feel Nintendo games have alot more soul poured into them compared to Playstation and Xbox, but this is just be personal opinion. Another big bonus with Nintendo games is that they have very high resale value compared to other platforms. You could get as much as 80-90% of the game purchase price back. I'm currently playing Metroid Prime remastered on the Switch, let me know what are you currently playing :)

@@silviu.iordache yes, you have a very good point. You can always resell physical copies so that you don't end up with a ton of them in the end. I only have 2 physical switch games right now, the rest are digital, but that's only because they're eShop exclusives. Currently playing Sonic Frontiers and Ori and the Blind Forest. I ordered my Steam Deck last night, so I'm pretty excited about that!
