About Sara's homestead and flower farm

I hope you like my new channel name! Sara's Kitchen Garden is from now on called Sara's Homestead and Flower Farm. I made the change because I didn't think that the old name covered everything I'm doing and aspire to do.
As you probably know by now, I have a lot going on. I knit, grow flowers and make bouquets, renovate, build and cook homegrown food. So, Sara's Homestead and Flower Farm felt like the perfect fit to describe my country life in southern Sweden. Do you like the name? Please comment below and let me know what you think!

Sara, i was just looking at my family tree, and my Grandparents were from Dalsland & Bohuslan Provinces. Just wondering if you know of these places. I am 90 percent Swedish and Norwegian, although my Dad said that he was pure Swedish. So maybe the Norwegian border has changed since my grandparents were alive. I find family history very interesting! Also love that you are from Southern Sweden!!

I had great results with cosmos in the past. The aphids also loved them though I did not mind. I found a spray bottle of mild soap and water worked well. I knew you were a knitter. I love you touques and sweaters I have seen you wear. I crochet now and then. If I am focused I can do a project fairly fast but I have difficulty staying still. Your gardens are lovely. I prefer to be outdoors as well It truly is fabulous for the soul!

​ @Karen Gemmill I assume it is used as a mulch among others, although with premium warming qualities, and for any mulch requiring plants. It is supposed effectively to keep slugs away. At least around where I am from, raw sheep wool may be cheaply and easily available as there are no/not enough further processing enterprises. Sadly, often lamb wool has gone to landfill. I wonder how it is in Sweden.

Very interesting, I always like your very practical garden philosophies, and especially all about the mulching! My question is: how did you actually learn about the horticultural practices in the beginning when you were starting out? I assume you hadn't taken gardening classes (but I might be wrong)...so how did you know how to start your big garden project in 2011?
