Appreciate this man 👊🏽 did my first interview Monday of this week and second interview this morning with marketing director. Both interviews were very relaxed. Few questions about why I wanted to work in Banking given my last experiences which has nothing to do with finance. Other questions include how do I or would I handle a unhappy customer or client, if I’m considering a career or growth in banking/chase, also about my customer experience level. Strength and weaknesses question also came up but I handled that easily. My tip is to be relaxed don’t be too uptight. Listen attentively and speak when ask a question or when there’s a chance. Don’t be silent when the interviewer stops talking. You can elaborate more on the last question and don’t stray too much off topic. Make sure everything you’re saying is align with and can help with the position. Providing exceptional client service. Selling bank products and services. The interviewer will be reading and analyzing your body language. Be bold. Make eye contact but don’t stare too hard. Good posture while seated. No fidgeting. Good luck

100%! Thanks for the kind words :) I decided on Chase because it’s the biggest bank. High investment yield comparatively to other banks as well. We have $3.2+ trillion in assets, passing everyone else by a long shot. All of my co-workers have transferred from various banks, and they always end up staying at Chase for the long-haul. It’s also highly rated by employees for quality of work/life balance.

I recently had an interview at Chase for an associate banker position, and I was hoping to get some advice from those who work in this field. I arrived at the interview location 20 minutes early and patiently waited until 10 am when the interview was scheduled to begin. During the interview, which lasted for almost an hour with three assistant branch managers and the branch manager, I thought I did well. The managers were friendly, and the conversation flowed smoothly. We even talked about hobbies and other interests. One of the assistant managers commented that my resume should not be a problem. However, it has been one week and one day since the interview, and I am a bit concerned as the hiring process was expected to take one to two weeks. Upon checking the status of the application online, I found that the application is now closed, and there were only 14 applicants which doubled after I was interviewed. I am worried that this might decrease my chances of getting the position. I would appreciate it if you can share your experience and advice regarding the overall hiring process timeframe and what I can do to improve my chances of getting the job. Thank you

This gives me a good idea of what to expect ( Although I am applying for the Relationship Banker 2 position ) the questions are probably gonna be geared more toward making calls and broader financial conversations. @-toe-knee

Absolutely! I got to know the RBs at my bank pretty well. When Chase got rid of their personal banker position, they offered the people in that position three options: (1) To do the RB-T program and become a relationship banker, (2) to get demoted to Associate Banker with no pay cut, or (3) a severance. I believe the base for RBs is $43k and the rest is made by incentives. As long as you’re personable, skilled, and competent at your job you’ll surpass $50k and maybe even into 60.

@-toe-knee
@-toe-knee 2 жыл бұрын
Standardly, you should be training for about two-three weeks on the computer in the branch… until someone asks you to man the lobby and you never sit back down! 🤣 I found myself falling behind because my managers wanted to show me everything they knew before letting me get my training done. So just try your best to stay on track, and you’ll be just fine!
@-toe-knee
@-toe-knee 2 жыл бұрын
The other thing is it will fall on your manager if you get behind in your training. It’s not that they don’t want you to get it done, but with the customer flow we get at the branches, sometimes they’d rather have you standing front and center, despite lack of training, because it looks better than having nobody there at all.

@@prsr8564 That’s when you’d have to defer the responsibility to someone else. This is the art of Chase. When you involve somebody at a higher level on a minute issue, like asking how to proceed with a customer in the lobby, you’re now taking time away from that person’s opportunity to make money with clients. Because of this, oftentimes I experienced backlash from those bankers above me. It’s hard to be an AB, and the experience will depend on your branch. The overall vibe in my branch was not great, and after a bit over one year I felt I should pursue different opportunities. I had applied for an internship with the firm while I was employed there, and for some reason was never even contacted for an interview over the course of 6 months. There were more reasons that led to me leaving, but I ended up accepting an offer with a different company for a summer internship - at which time I decided I could relieve myself from Chase :)

Is no one going to mention the black letter of their logo? They even have both the old white letters, and the new black ones in the same picture on this video. Think it is nothing? Walk in to your branch and try to ask the person at the customer window. You will not be talking to them very long. Who cares, right? A corp. this big just up and changes it's brand?! If you say so . Watch for it; not every bank has the black ones, and the ones that do, not all are black. In fact , not every letter is black. It isn't just the ones with lights, even the brass ones have changed. But the will not admit it, nor know what you are talking about. The one time I actually got to ask the window person, when she said it out loud, every employee went outside to look at it. No one that worked there even noticed.
