Cool! I was thinking just last week of making a "rule of thirds" template, too. Thank you for taking the time to make this compilation video. I've saved it to my MISTI playlist for easy reference.

Great video. I found the gridded sheets at Michael's under the brand Loops and Threads. 2 gridded sheets and 3 plain.

Hi Maureen I hope you don't mind me asking but did you cut your vinyl with a utility knife? They are kind of thick and yours look really straight. Thanks for the good tips. :)
@Maureen97Designs9 жыл бұрын
Darlene Mitchell Hi Darlene! No, I didn't use a utility knife, I actually cut them very carefully and slowly with some heavy scissors. Hope this helps!

FYI the grid plastic material is no longer available at Joann Fabric. I did go into the store and i was able to purchase it. I don't know if it is only available in the stores and not online.

I was just wondering why the "bumper" templates have to be gridded? Couldn't you use the plain sheets and just cut them to certain widths? It does make sense to have the A2 template gridded, since you can use it to position your stamps. I just find it a bit confusing. Thanks for sharing this, though!
@Maureen97Designs9 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea - I cut the bumpers from the gridded sheets because I had lots left over after I cut the A2 template. Also, the bumpers need to be cut straight and even and it's easy to do that with the grids, instead of having to measure the blank sheets. Finally, there are probably other uses for them that I haven't figured out yet and it might be handy to have the grids. Hope this helps!

@Maureen97Designs9 жыл бұрын
Susan Lankford The video which talks about the sticky mat is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJvHdIiLn7-cfaM . I cut down these mats from Amazon: smile.amazon.com/Sizzix-eclips-Accessory-Cutting-Pack/dp/B0041V6JQI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426291187&sr=8-1&keywords=eclipse+cutting . Hope this helps!

Did you cut these gridded mats with a utility knife also?...thanks
@Maureen97Designs9 жыл бұрын
It wasn't necessary - they're pretty easy to cut with scissors.

Do you think you could actually do an example using this temples . . Instead of just using the temples and no stamping .. because, I still really don't understand what you mean.

Too confusing a video for me.
@Maureen97Designs9 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry about that, Helen. Is there anything in particular I can clear up for you? I'm happy to help!
@iampaperprincess9 жыл бұрын
Helen Strahan Agreed.....lots of confusion. I think what would be helpful is instead of talking about some of the tips and just gesturing your hands (like the "negative" on the clear plastic template), or just showing the "bumpers", you might show examples. I understand the A2 grid with the center line, but the bumpers idea is confusing. That said, I do appreciate you taking the time to create videos and will take a look and some of the others. :)

iampaperprincess Sorry for the confusion! Here is another video that actually shows the bumpers in use: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqCxZoWLiZmkqbs
