About the Westendorf loader on the JD 2520

Got interrupted, but a shower sure felt great!!! We've never had a loader that came on and off easy. The Massey 175 has a Davies 200 loader (Massey later bought Davies) damn good loader, but bolted to the front, under axle mount all bokted on. The JD 4010 has a farmhand F11.. all bolted on too.. but easier to remove. Thanks for the tutorial Will!!

@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I took the JD loader on and off the 3020 an infinite number of times growing up. This is a million times easier than that. No blocking, things line up easy, no falling into the wrong slot if you have too much down pressure and you can still get on and off on both sides. A guy has to have a loader but I like the 2520 a lot better with it off. It goes from driving like a truck to a sports car.

@@brycewiborg8095 Hi Bryce. I tried a lot of things over the years for the loader on Dad's 3020. Mostly it ended up being firewood blocks.

We got a 10th of a inch today....Changing is loader from the M to the 706 is going to be a bolt on deal.... I've already got a 2 spool aux. valve on the 706, so it will be plug and play..... I only work thru Weds. this week so I think I'll cut Weds. night and bale the stuff that's down now on Thursday . Good video ....Thanks Will.

@@brenterickson1695 A tenth isn't too bad. I was worried about a couple inches and then we'd be back at square one waiting for fields to dry out. You will like that loader on the 706. Cody just brought the Impala to work on so I gave him a ride back to his truck and checked out the field I cut over there. Lots of hay.

My WL 21 Westendorf loader came off of a 3020 gas. Mounts worked perfectly. I have only had mine off twice. No reason to remove it. I wish mine had the skid steer quick attach system so I could use my bale spear on the 2520 instead of the little Kubota. The Kubota can’t lift big round bales. It can lift the big squares but they are all that it wants to lift and carry.

@@tractortalkwithgary1271 I've had this one on and off three times in the past week. 🤣 A quick attach is on the long list of things I want to improve some day. It would be really nice to move hay without the bucket on. A two tine spear that you could see would be great. There's a lot of people who buy hay around here that have utility tractors and don't want bales bigger than 4X5.

That's pretty slick how that loader comes off. Seems like we have more Canadian smoke than rain lately. Hope you are able to get the hay cut.

@@pinesedgefarm1155 It's been cloudy and a little misty at times today but no real rain. Looks like hay cutting tomorrow. Should bale a decent amount Friday. Saturday looks iffy now but If the forecast doesn't get too much worse I'll have to try something there.

I remember not long ago you said something about needing a new seat on one of your tractors, years ago I bought a used production truck seat that I never used if you want it, it has everything, you could probably fall asleep running your tractor 😁 but if you want it let me know.

@@Homefree18 The 50 is the one that needs a seat. It's just a rectangle piece. It might be good in the old dump truck. I'll see if Cody thinks it would work in there.

I figured you could show us better then me trying to explain it to Brent😁 I have a TA 26 on a Case IH 895 and I love it. Its way easier to mount then my 2350 on the 966 but that one has its place too. The snap attach for the bucket from westondorf is worth it too. I switched the 2350 oover to it shortly afterward getting it. The skidloader quick attach is pretty cumbersome to deal with on a tractor... I had a 💩 experience with a ragged out Kabota M 108 it wasn't god.

@@burrridgefarms Auto correct as so awesome. 🤮 I am sort of always looking for one to put on the 4230. It will have the snap attach. It's not hard to adapt something else to fit those. Brent will be happy to have that on the 706.
