This scene humanized Birdie, you understood why he became who he was. His brother left the family hanging and he did what he felt he had to do. He became a monster in the process. He even was willing to forgive his brother for abandoning them and he judged him. Tupac's performance was brilliant how his emotions ranged, you really felt like he was the little brother that hadn't seen him in a long time that walked that path. Underatted scene, may be the best in the film.

It's crazy that you say that about Tupac because my older cousins taught me about the drug game in Jersey I'm from Baltimore Maryland and my uncle's from Baltimore and my older cousins taught me about the drug game as well in Baltimore but my cousins from Jersey told me about the drug game in Jersey and my father died when I was around six and a half 7 years old they took over helping me better when I got older we separated me and my cousins my older cousins in Jersey and I learned a lot from a lot of different males in Jersey and I had a lot of good ogs in my life and they handed me all books told me to study about the law about the stuff I'm into that's illegal. And the thing is is that when me and my cousins got back together and I'm older and my thirties I said to say anything to him like pac said to him to his older brother I'm not the same younger cousin that you knew that was falling behind y'all! I learned a lot since y'all taught me a lot of stuff! And on he and his brothers had to say was damn okay. But pac performance was great to me.💪🏾✊🏾

Speaking of Will Smith it would have been interesting had 2Pac lived and done the Pursuit of Happyness role instead of Will Smith. Will did a great job in it but given the level of emotion 2Pac brings to his acting it would have been interesting had he taken that role as it fits almost exactly with his real life growing up in New York, Baltimore, and Oakland being homeless for certain periods of time while his mother struggled with drug addiction. He would have made an interesting Chris Gardener. =)

2pac killed it This one of the dopest black movies of all time I mostly love this movie because I'm a big 2pac fan!
Birdie could feel Shep's faint hug. Shep neither asked him how he's been nor is doing, when his little brother showed authentic love in his return. Birdie responded with an intentional narrative that was succinct. He let Shep know that his abandonment and prolonged absence was "Pain" ridden and burdensome for the whole family. Their mother's unanswered prayers for a messianic Shep, was formative to Birdie's development, too. He let him know that he had to become a man too soon, with no example to guide him,and that hed done it rather successfully. He invited his prodigal brother to be fruitful intge NEW family way as an equal partner, in light of, and in spite of his proven selfishness. When he extended hand was met with reproval, Birdie was washed away his inculcated devotion, but not his desire for his big brother's respect, however he had to get it. That walk away "FUCK YOU" said it all.

A warning with some love in it. Based on the character I'm sure almost no one else got that kinda pass when Birdie went to that level 💯

2pac’s acting is so good it’s chilling. I was never a fan of his music, but i truly miss the actor. Had he lived, he would’ve matured and really showed his chops by better deeper dramatic parts.

I rememember watching this scene.. I was only young. I didnt know who 2Pac was as a rapper but I watched this scene and it gave me goosebumps then I saw his name on the credits and started following his music. Been a big fan since... everything creative he did turned gold man I swear... had so much potential! Damn shame RIP king

2pac made lots of movies all his movies he was a top actor. In all his roles i grew up watching all his stuff. He is a real man. All his roles he did very well. Very natural. Acting . Mad different skills that not many actors today. Can not implement. Real talk.

"We got a big screen TV split level duplex" he's saying this like Shep is supposed to be impressed by it

TRILL he was talking about a come up. Imagine having no necessities then having money to afford luxuries and living well off. That's an accomplishment
@bravadoland24345 жыл бұрын
A big screen tv back in the day was a huge accomplishment when in some homes people still used black and white tv or none at all. Birdie and Shep literarily lived in the projects with their mum before Shep disappeared.

Not exactly on Pac's side, but Shep abandons his mom and little brother for good, and still has mouth to judge his kid brother's decisions?

I feel that Birdie was the character who had exactly what Bishop from Juice was mission: more depth. This scene shows why he became the guy he was in the film and why he did what he did.

Birdie could 100% have been Bishop if he survived and made it to his 20s. They both was crazy and wild af, its just that Birdie was tad bit more mature because obviously he’s older. There upbringing and motives are so parallel.

This scene means so much to me my brother did so much time before he passed in 2019 I remember just always trying to be like him as a kid wanted to do EVERTHING like him then circumstance changed at 11 years old I picked up a gun and start robbing ppl houses to feed our sisters and mom I was alone stove for heat lights off so many years I used to provide while he was gone he got out in 2019 same year he passed I remember this long drive from Toledo Ohio to Cleveland we argued the WHOLE way I finally got everything off my chest but he had changed he was there for me more then ever this scene always bring me back to that day in my life RIP MARIO love u bro

Birdie was so happy to see his brother after so many years! Once Shep told him he was wrong for dealing, there was a clear shift in Birdie’s attitude. It seems like from that point on he saw his older brother as his enemy

If you notice Tupac was a phenomenal actor but the crazy part about it is every role he played and every movie and in every episode of different world he was always that Thug Life guy, and it's crazy because everybody say he wasn't even really like that it was amazing for him to enter channel that
