A bold interview indeed! Mr Amritpal makes a valid point about why our media does not condemn the Hindu right for its violence when they openly propage hate and call for a Hindu Rashtra. Where I disagree with him is his call for Khalistan as a solution to his and his followers grievances. He uses the argument that in a democracy, call for self determination is legit as long as its done peacefully. Maintaining India's national integrity is in everyone's interest. If we are going to condemn Mr Amritpal for his Khalistani ideology, then we will have to equally condemn the calls for a Hindu Rashtra by the BJP and the Sangh. Is Amritpal a symptom of the hardline ideology of the Hindu right or vice versa is not pertinent. We could lose our nationhood if we do not find the courage to broaden our view. History demands that we decide what kind of country we all want. If we condemn our religious diversity, then history will condemn us too.

Awesome Interview👍. Arguments and explanations are both at another level. I always watch Amritpal's speeches and interviews. Being Indian I stand by the unity of India and I don't support Khalistan but I really like the facts and arguments made by Amritpal which always seem logical, at least he is so specific and clear about what he wants to do as well as knowledgeable. Here hats off to the reporter 👏he is much humble and I have seen first time a reporter who is straightforward, unbiased and also has knowledge of Sikhi to argue with the Amritpal. Nice interviews these types of healthy discussions are required so that everyone should be able to talk about their opinion to the public.

India (Union of states), was neighter nor it is, and never it will be our country, thou our Gurus and ancestors (all communities living here) fought for the wellbeing of the people, but in return the State Central govt. betray us. We need no arguments, no discusions, just a our own seprate nation on our own land over which our ancestor foughts for us. In past invading history of Punjab, their was none kind of war backup from the rest of states of the nation, which clearly justifies the Central govt. cannot declare Punjab as thier territory.
