Olivia had 3 major tools that she used and made look effortless. Top notch singer - she was seriously skilled, Charismatic - she had the ability to connect with audiences within the first minute of singing, and she was absolutely beautiful. In addition, she was a really good human as well.

Olivia Newton John is the only artist I know who can sing directly into the camera as if she's singing exclusively to you. Plus she had the live audience sprung at the same time. Just a mesmerizing performer. So many female artists put it all out there. Olivia leaves things to your imagination. That's skills.

Back in the day a lot of us felt like that about her :) A lovely woman with a great voice who has sadly been battling with her health in recent years. She's Australian, and her first hits were country-ish pop ("Please Mister Please" is a good example), moving into this more disco-like material in the late 1970s.

ONJ is truly an angel on earth. I first heard and saw her in 1975, Have You Never Been Mellow, and I've been hooked ever since. She was the first record I bought (HYNBM), saving up my allowance to do so, and my first concert that same year. I spent most of the summer of 1978 in the movie theater watching Grease over and over. Dame Olivia Newton-John is a legend and an icon who is still making music. Last month the video of her duet with her daughter, Chloe, Window In The Wall was #1 on both Amazon and iTunes. She has had breast cancer three times, and has been living with metastatic breast cancer since 2013. Over the past few years she has leaned heavily on medicinal marijuana and natural herbs to treat her cancer. The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Center in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia has been researching the effects of medicinal marijuana as a treatment for cancer, and she recently launched the Olivia Newton-John Foundation, whose sole purpose is to research plant medicine for treating cancer. As huge a star as she was in her prime (at the time of this performance, she was the biggest female pop star on the planet), she is extremely underrated compared to her contemporaries, like Linda Ronstadt and Karen Carpenter. I always love to see people giving her her due here!

She was another Angelic and her beauty was so radIant like glowing illumination lights around her. That was something we don’t see it very much like ONJ. As you know that her natural hair was brown when she was 12 or 14 years. When she was became famous her hair changed to blonde long before Grease came out. I was enjoyed her music. She will be an icon forever.

Totally hot is right! Never fails but when she performs that song her voice gives me the goosebumps. Looking at her first half of life her magically blessed life she delivered some amazing songs and I keep finding so name I never knew she sang since her death she gave the world song , dance , beauty and love through her gift of music that was and remains to be like no other . Not one bad bug in her nor said about her but that she is an angel from all perfections of womanhood ... it’s like when WOW become petrification turns speechless ... how she wasn’t bigger than she already was is beyond me. I couldn’t imagine standing at the performance in the early ‘80’s with out control I would have went straight up to her and never ask her for her scarf ! Loll You should listen to her songs recorded in the 60’s & 70’’s that had the word love in it .voice of a saint it’s my the weekly!
