I’m not sure if many people noticed or even know the story of cod zombies but knowing the stories and paying close attention to the lyrics of all the songs you will find that she’s singing from the perspective of both Samantha and the zombies, fighting against the main four

It's honestly why I feel like alot of the songs are more like themes for certain characters. In the cod lore due to the relevance to the character. Almost like the song have duel purposes.

fun fact, elena siegman use to write songs and was in bands, she said in a interview that she did that kevin sherwood asked her to try being on one of the songs and believed that she could do the lower vocals and screams aswell as the high notes, without kevin we would have had completely different songs, she was a producer on the team but kevin asked her to sing on 'lullaby of a dead man' which they added to the game and it snowballed from there

You should also check out "Not Ready to Die" by Avenged Sevenfold, as it was made for a Call of Duty Zombies map called "Call of the Dead" and the song features the piano chords of the main theme song of Call of Duty Zombies called "Damned".

3:57 Sometimes yeah. Most of the songs are symbolic of what's happening in the narrative or from the perspective of certain characters. But songs like "The One" and "Carrion" are definitely from the pov of a person's soul trapped inside a zombie.

From what I understand, this is in the perspective of the zombies but in a sad POV, where the zombies have that shred of humanity and they cannot control themselves due to the Bo1 Zombies Antagonist, Samantha, controlling them with “death magic” and it’s not only a weird existential crisis the zombies are dealing with but also being revived humans under a spell and realizing they’re killing and it pains them, pretty deep for just mob enemies of a game

Lyrics are from the perspective of a little girl (named Samantha) that's forced to control the zombies. 👍 That's also why there's mention of having such tremendous power, and not wanting to get rid of that power.

For as many times as I have listened to this song, I never knew abracadavre was magic of corpses, and I figured it was in the mind of the zombies but wow you put it perfectly! And never noticed that drum break down!

Great reaction! She's the first one I've seen figure out that she is singing from the zombies perspective. In the game she is trapped in a pyramid controlling the zombies and is going insane. I'm not sure if she is singing from the zombies perspective in all of their songs but at least a good chunk of them. 115, Beauty of Annihilation (the best imo, check it out please) and Lullaby of a Deadman (also very good, I recommend it)

Zombies EE songs start from Lullaby of a Dead Man and go all the way to Light From The Shore In the series from Verruckt [Lullaby] to Moon [Coming Home] the madness that claws at Samantha's mind she gets progressively more insane & volatile which is why in 'Coming Home' she spends 90% of the song screaming

Great reaction! Looking forward to the rest of the soundtrack hopefully:) Also for story clarification, the zombies are all being controlled by a little girl named Samantha. She ended up inside the Moon Pyramid Device which gave her control of the Aether. Then her father Dr Maxis, who had been the leader of group 935 which experimented with element 115, instructed Samantha to kill them all and then shots himself in front of her. She understandably mentally snapped. I feel most of the Elena songs are from her perspective.

In both timelines, the zombies are mindless corpses, being controlled by a higher power, in the first timeline it was Samantha Maxis, later Edward Richtofen. In the current timeline, we dont know who is controlling them quite yet

Probably my top 3 favorite Elena siegman one with shockwave and mystery. Also 115 was more like that so her voice was more angry this one is a little better overall. Elena siegman voice always gives me goosebumps idc zombies music my favorite girl singer

Your not fully wrong about the zombies cause they are driven mad but are sort of a hive mind controlled by someone named samantha a young girl who was placed in power by accident and is slightly consumed by the power hence the voice switch up giving us the proof she isnt fully sane but her angelic voice still tells us she is pretty evil like inside tho so its a very well put demonstration through music that can play in the game and map trailers too but it dont mean Elena is Samantha it only is a sort of persona she is playing through lyrics and voice wise, little tip if you do play zombies look at there eyes if its yellow orange like then its samantha controlling them but if its blue well thats no longer her
