Listen to a firsthand account of what happened on Ford's Theatre on April 14, 1865 while Abraham Lincoln and his wife were watching Our American Cousin. John Wilkes Booth was a popular actor at the time walked up the stairs and shot Lincoln once in the back of the head with a Derringer pistol.
Today, we are retracing the steps Booth took during the Lincoln assassination and we will show you the actual pistol Booth used, the presidential box, the stage at Ford's Theatre with the story of what happened playing. The first hand account was given by program boy turned actor Joseph Hazleton who was there that night and who encountered Booth before this tragic act.
