I recently traveled to Springfield, Illinois and visited the Lincoln Family Tomb while I was there. I had the pleasure of going to Springfield for a weekend in December of 2021, and I hit up Lincoln’s house, Lincoln’s Museum, and Lincoln’s tomb along with a few other sites. If you are a US history buff, I’d recommend spending a weekend in Springfield. You’ll learn a ton of eye-opening things, not only about Lincoln, but about his place in the history of the US.

I loved it there and hope to go back! My only disappointment was that I arrived on a Sunday and everything downtown is closed on Sundays, which was a bit surprising to me given it’s a capital city. I was staying down there but had to drive out to find anywhere to eat.

I did not! Hit the tomb on the way out of town after spending a full day at the museum/house downtown the day before. Hoping to come back again before long. Had a lot of fun.

Now a days if they built something it will not last 150 years maybe 25 but we don't have people like Lincoln in order for us to build something this nice
