Foster didn't need the knockdown ,he was still ahead on my cards. Foster was clearly the sharper, cleaner and overall more technically skilled fighter, but Novas tenacity and will to fight was still very much impressive! He'll get another title shot soon

Honestly even w the knockdown....it could have gone to him....116 to 111 was ridiculous....he was so much more active....foster completely looked overwhelmed for his first defense against a no. 12 ranked contendor....this guy has a GREAT mindset ...

Nova got a new fan here. I honestly thought Foster was gonna have a one sided decision but Nova came to fight. Nova was dominating foster early on but foster won this close fight and sealed it with the knockdown.

The fight was pretty exciting, i though nova had a slight advantage going into the final round. The flash knockdown was indeed that and foster turned it on just a bit more the last few rounds. I think s rematch would be great for both guys

two things to take away from this fight. 1. nova isnt as durable/tough/imposing as he thinks he can be 2. foster isnt as slick/technical/skilled as he thinks he can be both guys lose to the top guys... sorry.. they're both likeable/humble but they're just shy of "elite".
