I'd suggest putting 1 point in every ability on abrams. I usually do 3-2-1 for my unlocks. 1 point in 3. 1 point in 2. 1 in 1. Then a point in ult. Then I max my 2. Then my 4. Then my 3. I save the 1 for last. It's a good ability, but I don't think it scales as well as the rest of the stuff with points. I think it's fine with only 1 point in. Like you noticed this game, his gun does crazy damage. That's why I usually take kinetic dash over melee charge. Abrams is the slowest dude in the game and he has low ammo. Kinetic Dash helps fix both issues. I've also noticed that melee falls off hard. If you rush melee charge you for sure get a big power spike early game, but kinetic dash feels useful from the moment you get it to the end of the game. Still really awesome to watch you play my character. You mostly automatically went for the items I build which is cool. I feel like I learned a lot from your macro here. Just constant pressure on the other team mid game. The biggest problem I've had with learning abrams is that I learn best from watching people better than me. I've noticed that a LOT of the abrams videos on youtube are just not by players better than me (and I'm not that great... not at all) They just punch spam in low mmr and win. Terrible movement and micro and bad macro too. I'd love to see you after having 10-20 games on abrams. Your macro is already way better than me, obviously. I bet you figure out the micro in like five games and could show us some neat stuff.

First point in 1 skill is very good because it almost halves the cooldown. You basically want 1 point in both 3 and 1 to begin with and then do whatever you want. Very OP for laning.

Love reading the comments here. So much salt towards abrams while 1 button hard counters what makes abrams strong, people just aren't great at using it most of the time. People also have a bad sense of when to chase an abrams and when not. Pro tip: if an abrams hasn't used his abilities in a bit and enters a small building, don't chase him even if he is low hp, that is the moment and place he thrives and fucks u up. Pre charged melee, shot into dash melee shot while draining hp, he heals up nicely and if ur a squishy hero ur dead or damn close all because you didn't respect the strength of a hero instead of abusing his weaknesses.

Abrams is extremely strong early and mid game even if opponents are great at parrying. He just falls off hard because he sucks at big teamfights.

@@killerkonnat early game just play defensively at range and abrams can't do much. Other heroes got high power at certain points in time too. I enjoy abrams as my comfort pick but I play other heroes a lot aswell and they all have hard carry moments. Yamato solo keeping entire enemy team occupied for like 16 seconds while also getting kills and possibly even surviving. Infernus just burning entire teams to death like it's nothing and surviving massive focus due to lifesteal. Shiv well kinda similar to infernus but with a point and click insta kill ult when enemy hp drops that can instantly be used again. Those are just the heroes I have been enjoying a lot lately. My friends look at me playing abrams and are like: damn that hero is broken. then I don't play abrams for ages and they see all the other people playing it and they're just like: nvm, occido is just broken on abrams. It is just a playstyle I am used to from playing melee in a mmorpg before.

The parry system needs reworked. It's kinda dumb to be able to completely disable someone because you guessed when they were going to attack.

I think melee and parrying is in a really good spot actually. If you find that you are being "randomly" parried then most likely it's not random at all, you're just being very predictable with your melee usage and the enemy learned your pattern, you basically turned yourself into a Dark Souls boss :P
