Bless you for this, William - I have loved this song for more than 40 years...never occurred to me to add it to my repertoire b4 ...but tonight it called to me somehow, and here is your lovely, lucid, tutorial!

I've loved this song for a very long time. Recently heard an old Tania Maria version. That prompted me to look for the chords, and your wonderful tutorial popped up. Really appreciate the effort you have made to make it playable even for a relative novice like me, and to find a chord voicing that really works. Will definitely check out more of your material. Thanks so much William. Like you, my love of Brazilian music has encouraged me to learn portuguese.

Thank you Jacquin…please do explore the channel. A lot of material in there. My latest Ivan Lins effort, Cantor Da Noite, is particularly beautiful if a little complex.

@@WilliamSaadGuitar I will check that out. It's Joyce that was my gateway to Brazilian music. I notice you have one of hers. Any more, much appreciated.

@@JacquinHypnosisAcademy I have several Joyce songs...at least 7 I can remember... Aquelas Cançoes Em Mim, Rio Bahia, E Muito Mais, Quero ouvir Joao, Feminina, medo de amar, E era copacabana...admittedly she didn't write all these songs but it was her versions that inspired my covers...

Big love, been desperate to learn this song since I heard it and you made it so easy. I'm getting it after a day, excited to one day master it

I am so pleased you like it...if you like Lins, try Lembra de Mim with animated chords. Different style but beautiful too.

Hi Joseph, thank you for your comment. I am not sure I understand your request. I am not super fluent in Portuguese btw so please feel free to use French, Spanish or English if you wish. Can you please ask your question again? I understand you are requesting a lesson but I am not sure if it is a new video tutorial you would like or a face to face (zoom) lesson of an Ivan Lins song?
@josephjimenez69433 жыл бұрын
@@WilliamSaadGuitar haha I'm so sorry. I don't know why I tried that in Portuguese. Yes, I was hoping you can make a tutorial video on an Ivan Lins song. I've been dying to learn. It's called qualquer dia . It's a piano song originally, I've been trying to find a way to translate it into guitar but haven't had much luck.

Hi Joseph, Lovely song! I am not surprised not many have attempted to decipher it and cover it! Quite theatrical and complex, with many many subtle modulations...Requires a very good ear and ... time... I will not promise but I will be listeting to this over the next few days...for sure. Thanks for making me aware of such a lovely song.

I am Lebanese. Colombian-born but only lived in Barranquilla my first 5 years so I lost a lot of my Spanish later. Lived in Lebanon, UK(University) and France before moving to the UK permanently 15 years ago. Had my eye (and heart) on Bossa Nova since my parents bought me my Di Giorgio guitar when I was 15. I am still using that same guitar! I had to teach myself Portuguese to get the most of the beautiful poetry in Brazilian music.
