Connor was tipping over the petty side to me this game. He had hard words sure but so did the others and everyone especially joey nailed some of those words, while he didnt even bother for some and then proceed to put the blame on others mostly never on himself while jeopardizing Garnt's chances by not bothering to pronounce some of his words properly or explaining them. Then again its just a game but that kinda irked me a little
@andrew_h62 жыл бұрын
@@hebleh5771 Disagreed tbh, all of them have a thick accent and so all of their words were skewed. For example, Connor had the word “ignominious” and basically missed it because of Chris’ accent. And Connor actually gave a lot of context for Garnt’s words by using them in many sentences. That said, I am only about a third the way through, so maybe he does just give up. He definitely got screwed over on a handful of the words to a greater degree than the rest, imo. Nocturne is a word Joey got on the same round cConnor got Ignaminious, which is really weird in my eyes. And then Mnemonic was also mispronounced the very next round.

@@malouloulou Connor says it that way every time. He was hinting that aitch was connected to the way the British say H, but Garnt got confused. @thewingedserpent58232 жыл бұрын
The reason Connor had such a hard time with Ignominious is that mi is the primary stress so the o in no gets reduced to a Schwa which is essentially a neutral vowel. This happens to must vowels directly before a stressed syllable to make the stress more prominent so a, e, o, u can an all sound like a Schwa. The only vowal that doesn't really happen to is the short i sound.
