By far, this is the closest thing we will ever re-discover idents, Station IDs and more from July 16, 1986 - February 28, 1987 (ABS-CBN's lost years in Philippine Radio and TV, the pre-Star Network era if you will). Sadly, we may not able to see more from it due to scarcity and the network's privateness to this era.

Fact: The winning new slogan of ABS-CBN, after this contest, was called "Watch Us Do It Again", though it never lasted that long and inevitably replaced with "The Star Network", when ABS-CBN relaunched in 1987, along with an all new theme tune composed by Ryan Cayabyab.

This is sad and disappointing all at once. Disappointed especially with the proliferation of all those accounts that keep stealing archival videos like yours and reposting them as their own (you’re obviously not the first “victim,” so to speak). It’s sad for REAL broadcast history enthusiasts like myself (who watch/listen not just for the history, but for the memories that those airchecks bring), especially because airchecks of Philippine radio and TV broadcasts from the ‘80s and before that are not readily available. I hope those accounts can be dealt with...and that you can share your collection again sometime-for those who are GENUINELY interested.

I very big mistake to remove those clean archives. So my REACTION: If I set-up this kind of "TV/radio museum" like this, I'll make sure that greed will be minimized. The only basic thing to remember: re-uploaders only have to credit the original producer or broadcaster as they re-release, and watermarks are discouraged (not means to say 'not allowed'). And the colletion will be open to any copyright claims, unless it's a 'blocked-in-the-Philippines/Worldwide' claim. Also, Transdiffusion Broadcasting, a British TV-radio museum that compiles airchecks from BBC and ITV networks, has a light-touch plagiarism policy you may want to imitate: www.transdiffusion.org/reuse-our-material. Also it doesn't (or rarely) use watermarks; pre-rolls instead. Uploading on SoundCloud (IDK lang on MixCloud) is still a bad idea Actually, let me share this with you with my experience on downloading undownloaded SoundCloud audio clips/file. There are at least few sites that can download audio clips that cannot be downloadable. And yes, I was able to download (although it's illegal) for personal use. Pero if you wish to, pwede sa title itself (IDK if pwede bang lagyan ng description), lagyan niyo ng note in which bawal siya manakaw. Arigatou.

It feels me bad as a student, and as an individual that such kind of incident of grabbing videos are tolerated. I may say that even KZbin is proliferated by hoaxers, trolls, and others giving inappropriate comments and information. I stand for you. I think this is not a good day, not even you, but for me and those who are showing concern to you. :( ...I think there are ways to take down the video, including reporting that video which was stolen to KZbin, and to take it into action, so they will not do that thing again. At that time, TV stations were still broadcasting in what is called a "analog way". I brought a radio that could cover the frequency of a few hundred MHz, where Ch.13 was included. Also they used FM to transmit their audio signals (video signals used AM). My radio could recieve Ch.13 and handle FM signals.

As this was airchecked in Japan, I had no way to make it clear that whether BBC Channel 2 was still on the air at that time or ABS-CBN had already come back. I'm sorry.

@@dantesEW BBC Channel 2 (not to be confused with BBC 2 in Great Britain), then City2 (BBC Channel 2's new name) which broadcast on DWWX TV Channel 2 (formerly DZAQ TV during pre-Martial Law days) ceased its operation on March 20, 1986, and returned to the original owner, which is ABS-CBN Channel 2 on September 14, 1986. When I spent my school days in Pilipinas, I was so lucky to greet "The Year of the Dragon", that has a special meaning for Chinese people. I remember the ABS-CBN Ch.2 enthusiastically celebrated this year with the phrase "The Year of the Dragon" in their jingles and station announcements. BTW, please don't be on their half. You and other heartful Filipino friends have nothing to do with those malicious people. I know I have to find the way. I want to see happy faces of you all.

I was a bit puzzled to find his videos because I had not expected them, but at the same time, I just accepted the status quo. Or should I say "I appreciated" the way he edited the material. My fault is I did not tell him not to upload the material on cyberspace. And if there might have been any fault at all on his side, he should have asked me my consent to upload them. Anyway, I brought an unnesessary confusion to my supporters and him. If "Jebi Tiong dela Cruz" and "TociMedia 2" are the same one person, he is not the one to be blamed for aforementioned his uploadings. He doesn't have to delete his videos. The one who is to be blamed is ME. And if you have posted any comment blaming his uploadings of ① and ②, I would like you all to take it down immediately. As for the case ③, I have no idea. I think I have not told him my link. But the content of ③ is obviously made from my audio file. If the user is also the same person as that of ① and ②, my conclusion is the same as that of ① and ②. Jebi is like a douche here, he stole my footage of MBS-4 broadcast in my archive without any consent, without any notice, without permission. Tocino Media, meanwhile is also an archivist, he partnered with Joshua Kahanding for his TV archives. And properly crediting it, I may not know the case about you and him. Only qualified people are informed of the link to it where they can download them. However, to prevent an uploading without a consent, a distinctive digitally encrypted sign is embedded in each and every distributed audio. This method costs much, but a malicious uploader will be identified easily with this sign. I rather prefer ①, because I want to share the joy with as many people as possible. What is your opinion?
