Thank you SO VERY MUCH. I got the exact same issue just a few minutes ago. I youtubed to look for a solution and i found your video. Mu speed sensor B had issue and i had a bunch of warning lighta comr on including abs lights. My cruisr control also got disabled. I took a screwdriver and pushed the sensor in. It got rid of all the warning lights. Seriously thank you for this. You saved me

I’m glad this information was helpful to you! The way you described yours, is exactly what happened to me with the speed sensor on the passenger side. Keep an eye on it, this could be a one time thing where it just got lose but there may be something triggering this issue.

Been seeing this alot lately. Probably a nicked or chaffed wire for the sensor that is throwing the code. Very difficult to find the bad spot unfortunately.

Yeah 2024 is not a good year for these sensors. I know of at least 4 trucks in my branch that are doing the same thing on the same wheel speed sensor. (E) for those who are wondering

For 3rd time now I had to leave the truck to the dealership. The first was the gap issue on the abs sensor. Second time they had to replace the sensor. Third time now, idk what are they going to find this time.

@@mark_tillman is the issue always with the same sensor location? A chaffed wire in the circuit will throw codes that will indicate excessive air gap and sensor failure. For what it's worth, I rarely see these sensors fail. Usually the problem is in the wiring. I have had to run harness overlays on several of these trucks already. After that they have not returned.

Is that the same sensor for RAC System Failure by chance? I have a 2016 freightliner, and Freightler said a wheel sensor was "pushed out" and needed to be re-adjusted. I also have the ABS light on along with a red triangle with an exclamation point inside.

Yes, this would be the same sensor as is used to detect speed, the sensor is use for the entire stability system of the truck

@@Truckers.Safe-Haven I ended up crawling under there with a flashlight and screwdriver and pushed on it. I wasn't sure if it even pushed in, but after I started to drive again, both dash lights went off. Freightliner charged me $600 to do that the first time, so I saved myself some money.

Don’t know what it could be, but I would start by unplugging the battery or turning off the kill switch for about 5min.

My sensors always come and go. I keep rolling...mine is sensor c....it might just be loose. Dirty. Or you went through rain or water

Yes, you can pull it out just to inspect it and clean it, mine it’s good now but I had to let go couple load I had already planned.

When l did mine the censor was all dirty and covered with black gunk and it still doesn't work could that be the problem

The sensor has grease around it but shouldn’t be covering the front, where it’s closer to the wheel. I would clean and inspect it for damage, if no damage, I would put it back and check if fault keeps coming back

i have a 2024 with 8000 miles on it and this happened too me. Just had the senor changed hopefully this fixes the issue. Or freightliner has a recall for this issue...

What I did is turn off the traction control switch, and it would help but I’m not sure if the will work for you.

I have that problem wit sensor c and i push in ... this works for a while but always comes out again No oil No loose tire No visible damages Do you know how looks the sensor when it's in good condition?

Mine was flat at the tip, when is not damage it should have a nipple. If it keeps getting push out, there has to be something loose

Mine keeps going off about the F position. (Thank you for clarifying the positions, couldn’t find shit on it). I’ve been in my companies terminal like 5 times for it and the dealership about 3-4 times. Replaced tone ring and something else. Keeps happening after rain smh. They swear they can’t fix it. Also this is a 2023 cascades

Replacing the sensor may do it, check your sensor, use a screwdriver pry it out. It should ha ve a nipple, if it doesn’t it may be damaged.

Turn the floor power off like 4 times. may have to repeat a few times, but it should clear eventually... seems to be an on going issue. These sensors hate rain, seen to be possessed to tell you the truth... get it fixed & they light back up eventually

Dammn. The dealer in Polk county FL charged me $6400 and a week waiting for just replacing a wheel sensor in driv tire. SMH I wish I have watched this video before.

That messed up, some of this shops, they just look at the dollar sign on our forehead when we pull in! I wish there was more honest mechanics. KZbin has helped me a bunch, that’s why now when I have things that happened to me I try to make a video, that way more people can help themselves before heading to the shop, come to KZbin first and try DIY first. @ unfortunately never did. Still have the issue come up only when it rains or the truck gets wet. Shop looked at the truck and found no issues with sensor or harness on the rear end of the truck they said it might be in the rest of the harness within the truck cab or maybe interference from another module or device on the truck. TIP this is the only fix when the light comes on that i have found. It is to 1: shut truck off 2: open & close the driver door wait till dash goes completely dark (make sure you have headlights switch off or auto) 3: turn on the truck and immediately as it’s turning on don’t let it finish it’s check up cycle just take off fast and the light will stay off until you fully come to a complete stop again. Crazy but it works every-time for me. Hope it helps. ✌️

Almost positive it’s could be something similar, try pushing in sensors, maybe shut truck power off for 5 min. If it lets you drive and it keeps happening should get it checked.

If it doesn’t slow you down just keep driving it it may go away, I had that happened to me on a different occasion
