She was awarded with Lakandula already. It’s the highest award that a civilian can achieve. It’s a Class 2 award, National Artist is only Class 4. It doesn’t matter now if the legislature is gonna award her the National Artist title or not (because they clearly don’t have taste), the Lakandula award weighs more than any other award they could offer anyway.

Ms. Lea's voice has that "charisma" that you will really listen to. Listen how very good and how clear her pronunciation is. The technicality in her voice is observable. Even on high notes it never changes. She is the epitome of a great Filipino talent- exudes an intelligent mind. She should be given the award of National Artist in music while she is still young and capable of rendering speech.
