Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video. I have a 14 year old dog that was bitten by a spider. He ended up with a huge lump, about the size of my hand, overnight. I looked up cancer and it shows that cancers do not just appear like his did. I've been trying to treat him at home because I do not have the money for a vet bill. By making this video, it is my belief, you saved his life. I cannot thank you enough!

THIS WORKS. When I watched this video while my dog had a huge open wound from my other dog accidentally biting her ear during playtime, I was begging for someone to say how it worked for them. I used liquid antibacterial soap and warm water on a clean rag and would clean her ear out with soft pats. Than I took a q-tip and dipped it into my wildflower honey and covered her wound with it every morning and every night. And oh my goodness, 7 days it was all cleared up! I was scared by the large scab that it was getting infected but it was healing right up. This guy has helped me with sooo many problems at home with my dogs from ear infections to bites to allergy problems. He’s saved me a LOT of money lol

I work at a feed store. I run the pet department, order the feed, make the choices. Many many customers call me the little vet because I give advice or try to help them figure out what is going on. 99 percent of these are people that can't afford a vet. Be aware, before I get slammed, I always tell them I'm not a vet, and if I don't know for sure if it is a life threatening issue I recommend a vet. I do my research, I have many many books. But so many can't afford the vet costs so if I can help save an animal life or suffering I call it a win. I have even diagnosed an issue with a dog that the vet couldn't but verified it to be true. I value these videos and have downloaded the book. I am so very very thankful for this person. I thank you and my "clients" thank you and if they could I'm sure the person would thank you.

Thank you for this info. I know this teaching is about pets like dogs and cats, but maybe this story can help someone with larger pets or livestock. Years ago, a horse got bit by a poisonous snake where right front leg joins the body. His caretakers were throwing powdered antibiotics into his pelleted feed he wouldn't eat. No follow up vet care after first visit. We arrived on the 2nd week he was swollen from top of withers, throughout shoulder and the chest. So emaciated several hundred pounds underweight. You could smell the diseased tissue from quite a distance. We rushed to only open store a walmart, bought a douche/enema bag, betadine for women's hygiene, epsom salts and towels. Warm epsom salts compress opened the bite wound allowing to administer the betadine solution. Using the rectal tip, we filled the bottle with diluted betadine, carefully put nozzle in the open wound holding the bag just high enough for solution to drain into it. At first, just solution from bag was coming out, then suddenly the rotten stinking cellulitis infection started flowing out like lava. Yellow thick and gross. Did this every day for a week along with getting the vet to administer penicillin shot, should have been done first day. We handfed the oral antibiotics in molasses, oatmeal cookies, and sweet feed. 4th day horse felt better his appetite returned. Asked the vet why she didn't administer a shot first day, or open the wound to allow drainage, she said she was afraid of encouraging further infection by introducing bacteria etc. This horse would have died that week had we not gotten there just in time. In one month he was completely healed. We took the horses and 4 months later they looked like their beautiful stocky old selves living in great loving care once again.

@spiralrose that was in North Carolina. We were stunned at the nonchalance of it all. Horse was a stunningly beautiful red bay quater horse 1,500 lbs of muscle down to 1,000 lbs. Vet said she'd never have thought of doing what we did using warm Epsom salts soak, then the douche bag filled with diluted betadine using rectal tip to clean out the rotted flesh. To her credit she did administer the penicillin shot and gave us the okay to transport out of state by end of week when he was strong enough to move. And thanked us for showing her new ideas, that she would be more creative for solutions in the future.

I know this was posted forever ago, but I want to say thank you so much for making it. It's so frustrating when everyone just wants to say "go to the vet" for every little thing that happens, especially since so many things really can be handled from home. My cat has an abscess on his tail. It's already burst and has started a cycle of weeping/scabbing, and that's just my cat taking care of it himself. There's not much swelling and he's still eating/drinking/going potty like normal, but I did notice a bit of a smell and would just feel better cleaning it up. I was planning on using just a tiny bit of diphenhydramine (~12mg) to act as a calming/sleeping agent, then a diluted hydrogen peroxide to soften the scab and clean the wound. But I'm nervous about the effectiveness of the diphenhydramine.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! I was ready to bring my cat in to vet but I knew it would cost so much, so I decided to give this a try first. It worked! It was so hard to cut the hair because it was stuck on with the blood, but I got as much as I could. I cleaned his wound with the black tea 2 or 3 times a day, followed by Vetericyn Plus Wound and Skin Care that I got from Amazon. I put a cone on him to keep him from further hurting himself and infecting it. It took a little over a week, but he is almost fully healed. I didn’t try the honey because I was afraid my dogs would lick it off, but I’m sure that helps greatly too. Thank you again!

Great great Video. Wow. I tell ya. It’s few and far between these days. My dog had a protruding abscess, it ruptured. So we Went to the vet, vet gives Zoe a 2 week antibiotic shot. And I mean that was it. That’s all he did. He never trimmed the area. (My dog was quite hairy. (Long hair schnauzer). He told me to leave it alone and come back in two weeks if it hasn’t drained. This guy never flushed it out. He didt do anything. So I took a good look at it, two days after the visit. And common sense said to cut the hair around wound. Anyway. Great video. This saved me. Plus my neighbor harvest honey from bees in his yard. So I’ll get plenty of that

Aloe vera will draw out infection. It is like a liquid Band-Aid once it's dry you keep applying and drying apply and dry it will draw out infection form a scab that is protective and gets smaller and smaller by the day. It is about the only thing I use for any type of wound especially Burns works on animals just like people's skin grows back fur grows back. Aloe vera liquid Band-Aid you can literally feel it drawing out the Heat. I had a third degree burn on half of my face down to the bone... I drank aloe vera + sprayed it on my wound it formed a scab like a puff pastry in 2 weeks when I pulled it off there was not even a scar. That's been 30 years ago. At first there is a slight sting that really isn't the best analogy but you can feel it immediately draw out the heat poison infection whatever. The trick is apply and dry apply and dry you build up layers if the wound is severe if it's not severe one application is usually all I have to do. Take a leaf of an aloe vera or keep bottle of aloe vera in your refrigerator note-aloe vera must be clear and kept in the fridge. Aloe vera should be bought in dark glass preferably not in clear plastic if it has turned brown it has oxidized and it is of no use a tip to the vet and anybody else

My question is... witch is better... 100% honey but don't know if its pasteurized or local honey from my neighbor.? Bless you for helping all us pet parents out there! hugs... michelle

We have a new male cat in our neighborhood. He is free range, and likes my yard...my cat peanut is getting old and doesn't wander much anymore but refuses to share his outdoor cat patio and this is causing fighting... Peanut hasn't been acting weird, but I noticed a bunch of round wounds on his back...at first I thought it was from fighting, but now I believe these perfectly round flesh wounds are from an air gun pellet... I didn't have to remove the fur, as it fell out due to peanut locking at it...I have soaked the wound sight 3 times a day with Epsom salts, washing it clean, using a hot compress to make the mass easy to move, the infection had centralized after 2 days and burst through the puncture wound ( keeping the sight compressed several times a day helped ) There was no smell, about 1 to 2 oz of yellow clear liquid. I am going to continue with process for a few days...for pain I still have morphine from peanuts last surgery, so he's purring and happy, feeling no pain now...( the lump was large, like a hard boiled egg sticking off his back and very uncomfortable for him, I don't normally give my cat morphine, but it was his own medicine, and I belive he needed it...made examining him easy, even let me give him a hot bath!

Thank you so much for this video, so kind of you to share this information!! My dog has a dog bite , I’ve been applying bactine graciously inside the wound and around clean the area. After that process I’ve been applying neosporin. Is this method going to work? Or should I flush it as you advised on this video. Thank you so much again you are amazing!!

When I got home from work I put a warm compress on the super painful abscess at the base of my kitty's tail. She was in so much pain 😭🥺🤧 I also forced her to eat some coconut oil and a bit of honey. She is now sitting under the dining table and licking at it. I hope she is able to pop it with her sandpaper tongue. I've healed burst abscesses my other kitty had before so I know what to do from there! Thank you so much for these videos to help out furry friends 💖💖💖💖

Long live the country vet! I've worked for both "old school" country vets and "new school" ones, and money and specialists are the big difference. It's unfortunate that insurance has gone up, and there's always going to be the people that can and do spend thousands to try and save their animal, but for a lot of us we just need an affordable professional to give us advise and treatments. Thanks for this video!

This is interesting. I have a cat and we have been dealing with flea issues and have given her revolution and she has skin reactions where sometimes a large lump formed. Sometimes it bleeds. I have used colloidal silver and aloe and try to wash with Dr bronner tea tree... I am wondering about honey....

I was told by my vet that I can use baby Benadryl as a sedative but she did tell me that if you use baby Benadryl on a cat that it has to be completely calm. If you give it to a cat that is nervous at all, you will have the opposite reaction. My cat is about 10 lbs, I was told to give her 1/2 tsp.

It would be great if you could also put the names of the items you are suggesting in your description. I would like to go buy some of the items you talked about. But I could not get the names fast enough while watching the video. It would be great if you also listed them in the description. Thank you for your great helpful videos. It is a Sunday and our car was hurt in a fight with stupid feral cat that keeps coming in our yard fighting our cat. And he is limping and hurt in his leg. I Am Worried about him now.

So here's the big question: if the wound that caused the abscess has already healed, do you puncture the abscess or wait til it ruptures on it's own (will it even do that normally?)? How would one go about "popping" an abscess to drain the infection, be it puncture or rupture? That is where we are stuck at, the beginning. Know full well the rest of your suggestions will work (crunchy mama here), just gotta know how to get my furbaby's acscess opened first. Thanks Doc!

I think by hot warm compress it’s going to drain it an open it itself. My cat had access an that’s what I did...lightly press around abscess to encourage draining
@lyndafay85283 жыл бұрын
From my experience, an abscess rarely bursts on its own. I make a hole, drain out the puss, flush the hole out with cooled boiled water and leave it, checking that no further puss is welling. Just keep it clean. Once the puss is released, it normally heals very quickly.

My cat recently got into a cat fight while she was in the backyard hunting. She was taken to the vet soon after because I noticed her becoming lethargic, and when she walked she limped and was very stiff. The vet felt her joints and bones, everything was fine she sent my cat home after giving her an injection to manage her pain. They concluded that she may have overworked herself. Yesterday I cut off the clumps of hair that were wet at some point because of blood, later that evening I felt her chest where I had cut the hair and there was a large lump. This morning I woke up to her crying, she began to lick her abscess and it opened. A lot drained out, the fluid was slightly yellow and had a light smell to it. I'm searching for more punctures or clumps but I haven't been able to find anything. She was very alert and seemed to be happier after we got out most of the fluid, it's been a few hours now and it seems to have filled up with more fluid. This video really helped though, it lets me know I might have to take her back to the vet to get it handled because I'm honestly afraid to keep messing with it. Plus I'm not sure I have what is needed to flush out her wound atm
