Absolute Frenzy! - Loads of Old Silver Coins Found Metal Detecting an 1840's Farmhouse

Last week Rich and I started metal detecting at this 1840's farmhouse that Doug got permission to but wasn't able to be at. He told us to go without him and wouldn't you know it we had an epic day with old coins, all sorts of fancy buttons, sterling silver thimble, and most surprisingly I found 2 Flying Eagle US cents which is Doug's most sought after coin of all time! Well this week Rich and I continue moving through this property and the finds just seem to keep flowing out of the ground. More cool relics, a boatload of old silver, and even a coin so scarce it might be the rarest coin we've found all year! Even Doug stops by himself straight from the hospital just to get a look at these himself firsthand!

If the owner allows , I would dig that yard till I covered every inch of it. I am sure it has never been detected properly!! One of the best yards I ever saw you dig. Some cool finds there, im from New Zealand and my wife and I have been detecting an old US war campsite this year, and we found our first mercury American one dime with an S mint mark. Dated 1918. Love the design, our favourite coin so far. 👌

Loved this video and the last. 🤗. Even though I detect over here in England mainly on farm land now when I first started metal detecting decades ago I detected parks and common land looking for old Victorian pennies and half pennies and hopefully some milled silver coins. 😍. This type of detecting has never left me. If I get an opportunity to go coin shooting as we call it over here I will always jump at the chance. 🙂. Our Victorian milled silver is equal about in date to your seated milled silver. 😊. HH from across the pond. 🙂. P.s. The silver thimble.😋.
