I remember in the mid nineties the club shop would open at midnight on launch day. Fans would start queuing mid day, there was live entertainment and refreshments from early evening up until the shop opened. Maybe the club had a better relationship with the suppliers (Adidas) back then. This maybe something the club could look at in the future once the fan zone is up and running. Does anyone actually 12:05 know how much the club get off a single shirt sale? Or do Castore get all the profits as part of the 6 million sponsorship. If this is the case then Castore are going to sell way in excess of 6million pounds worth shirts and they’re going to bank all this extra profit. If this is the case, then has anyone checked that Mike Ashley or Sports Direct definitely don’t have any connections with Castore

Had no idea the mags had fans in the US and elsewhere - especially with 'that' vampire leeching us into oblivion for 14 years.. Now I really regret the 2 unsuccessful attempts to sign Christian Pulisic, who really impressed me in the World Cup for Team USA (you guys are on the up and up in Soccer! 🇺🇸) And the Jersey's cool, I like it. Retro and new at the same time. Can't wait to see the away kits! Though anything's better without that FUN88 logo. I wouldn't have been totally unhappy if they *paid* the extra £25m/year just to get rid of it! Edit: I'd love it if we signed Gabi Veiga, the 'baby Kaka' wonderkid, from Celta Vigo over Maddison. It's looking less and less likely with Liverpool going all out for him. But it would still be pretty sweet!

That kit is going to look absolutely amazing, it will look great in the Champions League nights, the Sela logo actually looks better than I anticipated, it looks way better than that blue fun88 logo which looked atrocious. The only thing I would change is the yellow noon box, I would prefer if it changed to black and the written noon logo should be white and the players name and number would look better in black & White instead of red which looks really tacky in my opinion, other than that the kit looks top class FYI Sela is spelt Ales backwards lol.This kit looks really sleek, trendy and retro in my opinion, perfect kit for the new season

Brilliant timing by the club to launch the kit at this date. Looks great but 70 quid is a tad bit expensive. In one way it is good that the owners are going to invest the money back into the club and the good times are already back on Tyneside. I do not know if I will get this kit, I am still fond of my retro shirt from the King Kev's era.

Pleased to see the club badge is sewn in, the ones they had for promotion had a stick on badge which just looks cheap so that's a big improvement. Not keen on how the sponsor logo fits, it seems off-colour to me but it's a mile better than Fun88 anyway. Company looks interesting actually with event planning and what not, should be the chance for some fun collaborations. Shirt is nice though, I do like it, my recent favourite was the Puma Virgin Money top and this one is very similar to that.

theres two version, the fan version which is cheaper than the player verson, has a bigger sponsor, and has a sewn badge on. The player version will have the heat pressed badge on and the sela sponsor will be smaller if like last year.

Hi mate, hold the phone, stop the press, the new Arabic logo on the new shirt (2023/2024) is back to front in terms of our western brains. Allow me to explain; I would have preferred the word 'Sela' only on the shirt, not with the additional big square logo too. Or at least put the box logo on the right of the word Sela with the bullet, missile, head shape pointing to the right as currently it looks like the head of a missile or bullet shape that is pointing backwards (right to left), if you know what I mean. At least have the pointy shape pointing forward from left to right, not right to left and put it on the right side of the word 'Sela'. They need to seriously rethink a western version prior to the start of the season. It also sort of looks like an express train going backwards not forward. Our western brains understand left to right as 'forward' and right to left as 'backwards'. Is Arabic written right to left? Yes! Is Sela an Arabic company? Yes! Maybe I'm wrong? Do you see where I'm going with this? The logo pic is a mountain but for western brains it's pointing from right to left and on its side not upward. It's confusional to the western brain. From Arabic eyes/brains it's perfectly normal. Not with ours. Sorry to disappoint.
